I never thought of Joe before, but I think he would be worth an interview. To judge Mr Moorehead as anything other than at least a "nice guy" says something to me about your character judgement skills. CK is right, that guy would talk to you about Akron football until you were tired of talking. He was always willing to answer questions and give you his time. He seems like a tireless worker. One positive not mentioned above, would be the fact that I think Joe understands what it takes to be a successful college QB at Akron. I've said it umpteen times this season, our biggest problem was at the QB position. It will be the first and most important item for the next coach to address. There are plenty of coaches I would trust. I can only think of one that I would absolutely not trust, but I won't have to worry about that anymore.

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to KD & staff's offensive plays. If I was handed the head coaching job today with the current team, I would give Zeke three things to do offensively, and three things to do defensively. None of those would be further than two steps out of the paint. It seems like Zeke was working hard on a lot of things that deterred him from his best assets last night. I don't feel like he had his best game last night. I'm not sure what the reason was. GC44 can correct me if I'm wrong. It makes me nuts to see him pick up fouls that he should not. The whole team looked like they were out of position last night defensively and everybody was trying to make up for it. Like it has been stated here before, getting AA back will help. Makes you realize his importance to the team. For some reason when I attend Zips games, I am fascinated by watching play under the basket. Bruce Weinkein and Zeke were/are my favorites to watch. Watching Egner last night getting bounced around under the hoop makes me think he really needs to do some weight work. WV was better at getting low in the post and establishing position both offensively and defensively.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say our starting QB this year will not physically grow taller in a different system or with a different coach.

If I were "Akron", I would float as many Tressel rumors to as many media outlets as I could. Make a simple phone call to the NCAA and ask what the sanctions are if Tressel returns. Now email/call ESPN, SI, Fox Sports, etc.. and give them some kind of quote about it. Stuff like this to can be done by some flunky and requires little work to make the job look more prestigious to another candidate. Prestigious is not the right word, but you get the idea.

If this is the logic the Athletic Department is using, which I doubt, they should all turn their keys in today and I will be glad to accept their resignations effective immediately. I was going to suggest that they hire the guy that dresses up like JT at the Columbus games and use him the exact same way. I thought that was too much though.

I would be shocked. You are easily shocked. Not much has shocked me in my decades of being a Zip fan. Wistrcill hiring Tressel would be my first. I might even make that t-shirt today. I don't like JT, and can't respect him, but the program is in dire need right now. I would not be against the hire, and understand why Akron would go after JT. I just can not understand why JT would come to Akron? Money?...no. Because he wants to save the program?...why? To win a national....Please? Because he feels sorry for Akron...Come on? If you were advising JT on his next career move, where would "I think you should coach at Akron" fall on the list? With all this being said, I'm going to keep dreaming he is coming to Akron to save us too. Wake me up soon....

It pains me to write this, BUT, I just don't see Luke moving from coaching at an above average football program to taking over the mess iCoach has created. Would that be a good career move for him?
