  1. And the shirts to go with it. Reminds me of the old 'Mistake on the Lake' shirts. Classic.
  2. I believe this link should take you to MAC scores everyday.
  3. +1 This is the complaint I hear most from former posters.
  4. McQueary Contacted Police? SI's Jimmy Traina thinks CBS pulled a bait and switch on the above McQueary story. JoPa sells his house to wife for $1 back in July of this year!?!
  5. I don't blame any student for not going to Infocision stadium the past two years. BUT, if the game was during the day and the stadium was on campus and I was getting in free, I would probably still go. It will be hard to get students back now that football has creative such a miserable losing atmosphere. As for basketball, I think student attendance is extremely low. Most of last season, I could count them myself and never get to fifty. We need to make the JAR a hard place for opponents to hear. Old dudes in the reserve seats don't cut it, we need student support. The set up in the JAR is not conducive to a normal/big student section, so UA does nothing to change it. Students need to make it a problem.
  6. If this is the Eddie George that used to play with the Titans, he is full of cr@p! No way he couldn't get 100 yards. If this is some 32 year old factory worker named Eddie George, than he is probably right. PS Even bad references are still a reference, another plus for the marketing dept. They are killing this week.
  7. This does not seem like part of "the process" to me, but if I have to endure another year of iCoach, please find me a QB that can score points for our team. At the very least, this is would be trying. When you can't buy a win, the risk seems to be worth ruining "locker room dynamics." If we don't pull this off, maybe we can turn it around and use that as our tag line on the schedules next year...'Best Locker Room Dynamics in the MAC'
  8. Tom missed the final edits before print.
  9. This is our marketing plan...it is working to perfection.
  10. IMO it makes WV a "must" win for the Zips now. Say, Ken+ or Akron don't win the MAC tourney. If we are looking for an at large bid, the committee compares like opponents and maybe takes Ken+ over us. I know a ton of things have to happen to make this a possibility, but it could. It also takes away the uniqueness of beating WVU since Ken+ already did. It will also affect the betting line on UA vs WV.
  11. Watch Game Live Here
  12. I'll go with 1-0...for the Huskies and the Wildcat game.
  13. If I were Northwestern's coach, whomever that is, I would play this for my team right before the game. I would guess he already downloaded it, has it on a laptop and has the projector packed.
  14. Detroit loses by six-----Valpo wins by FIFTY-----Florida A&M gets stomped by eighteen
  15. I'm with you GP1. Same reason I won't go to an NFL preseason "game."
  16. I'm hearing that Cleveland State is considering putting up a basketball ad there.
  17. Stop peeing on my cornflakes. Can't a Zips fan have some enjoyment? I am suffering the worst football season of my life. Cut us some slack.
  18. I thought you were talking about Keener's TWENTY beers during the Ken+ game! Holy Smokes, TWENTY Keener?
  19. Wasn't from Ellen You can go through and check them all by clicking on 'POLL VOTES' here.
  20. Your right, I couldn't. I found better things to do two of the home games this year. Such a shame because we finally got a good weather year for our home games. Wasted beautiful stadium, and weather. Zip Fans Got Rob-bed™
  21. That's a good suggestion. Probably better than mine. I was going to suggest dressing up like Dee Snider and singing Were Not Gona to Take It on campus until something is done.
  22. I got to evaluate another AFC North rookie QB in person yesterday in Cincinnati. My evaluation of Andy Dalton is almost opposite of my first hand impression of Colt. To evaluate a QB, I truly believe you have to be at the game and sit high enough to watch the way the defense defends the QB and see how he reacts. Dalton is a smart QB, he makes good decisions with the ball. Not the most mobile QB, but is not afraid to get rid of the ball to avoid a sack. He has a strong arm and gets the ball where it needs to be on time. He is able to take what the defense is giving him, but still likes to take his shot down the field. Both of his TD passes yesterday are examples of each. IMO, if Dalton continues to progress, I think he'll be a successful QB in the NFL.
  23. Let me know how close I get. Dear g-mann, thanks for your support. Here at the University we are striving to be the best. I assure you that we are doing everything we can to put the most competitive team on the field. I am coping [_fill in the blank_] to see if we can get you one of those scarfs, I am also copying [_fill in the blank_] at the ticket office to let them know your concerns. Thanks for being a great Zips fan, and Go Zips! Tom Wistrcill Director of Athletics University of Akron
  24. My favorite line from that story: Akron coach Keith Dambrot said. "It's fair. Nobody in New York wants to see us."
  25. I felt all dirty after I did one. I only did it for others on this site. I'm done.
