  1. Next year is my year of "make or break" me as a fan too. I better see some results from this process the fans have been put through for the past year and a half.
  2. I believe Brian Wagner is our best player. WAY better than Suel or Chisholm. And Brookhart recruited him. Mr. Suel shows signs but 3 games and 8 receptions are not enough to declare him one of the top two players on the team. Same goes for Chisolm though averaging 95 yards/game through 6 is pretty impressive. Wagner is by far our best player. Just watching Suel on the field and ignoring the numbers (which don't look great), I'll still say he is one of the top guys on offense. I hope he gets back in there against Ohio. He makes LR8 better. IMO, Wags has a consistent body of work to prove he should be the "face of the zips" marketing focus.
  3. They really don't have much of a craft beer selection where I was at. I'll give Hazed & Infused a try. I like the name.
  4. He's bringing down their unemployment rate, although he might be able to land a top job watching replays on a monitor like JT.
  5. Tender feet I'm glad he doesn't have an agent to suggest that he not play and risk further injury to jeopardize his career.
  6. Written in the PG. Reports have indicated that military academies Navy, Army and Air Force along with Boise State are the latest schools on the radar as football-only members.
  7. Ken+ ranks last in the 13-team conference in offense at just 170 yards per game, behind Akron's 301. Ken+ is averaging just 94 passing yards, also last in the league; and is 12th in the league in rushing. If we can't beat that....
  8. Now your getting it. I like when my team wins. Take a guess who my favorite QB at Akron was? I'll give you a hint, his last name starts with a "G."
  9. ESPN "guys" tried to fixed the flawed QB rating with their own. I have always gone by one rating for a QB...THE WIN COLUMN/CHAMPIONSHIPS. Some QBs are winners, while others are not.
  10. Give me 11 of him and I will coach the defense for free. Joy to watch at the game.
  11. Nice article, research, facts, quotes, multiple photos, & actually at the game. Nice job Marla.
  12. I think LR8 still deserves a chance to start. That being said, I am not optimistic that he is the QB that is talented enough to win us a mac championship. I know what I watch when I'm at the game . He must continue to work hard to make major improvements. I hope he does. There are plenty of QB's that turn the corner when "the game slows down for them", is LR8 one of them? Sconiers seems to be a guy that can help him through it. I hope LR8 throws 4 TDs to Sconiers this week, but I didn't bet on it. Have fun at the tailgate, should be a perfect day!
  13. Do your receiver statistics include YAC?
  14. Three points is a lot. Your right something is up. No way money moved the line. Could it be they are too focused on hosting LeBron?
  15. Sconiers Strives to be Shipshape Sconiers has 24 receptions for 420 yards and four touchdowns after the first five games of the season. Keith's average of 84.0 yards per game in receptions now ranks Sconiers fifth in the MAC.
  16. Zips 17 FIU 38
  17. Let's hear your predictions for the 20 point home underdog. Golden Panther Info
  18. OU band. Only band that has ever entertained me at a Zips game was Howard.
  19. I watched a team with an terrible passing game that had a great running game and a good defense get one game away from the super bowl last year. While it's not popular, it can be done.
  20. I got Bakalar Doppelbock at Twinsburg Beverage Beer Wine on Darrow Rd. I'm skipping out this week, can't resist the weather for a weekend of camping in the Allegheny Mountains. I'll send my ticket to Lot 9 with CK, so if you don't have a ticket, the guy that gets the most beers off the list by game time is the winner.
  21. All you need to learn about Prohibition can be found by watching 'Boardwalk Empire'
  22. Many times, coaching is about the connections. KD is embracing him by giving him invaluable experience. He will end up with a paying job soon enough, if that's what he wants. Didn't JD Brookhart start out the same way with the Denver Broncos?
  23. In more ways than one!
