Thanks for stopping by to explain. I was looking forward to the video after I read the the quotes to see how he said what he said. I'm surprised that much more wasn't made out of his comments. Sounds to me that KD took none of the blame and placed it all on the kids. Even if it's true, I'm not a big fan of that in public. For some reason KD gets away with it. Can you see Caleb or Rob saying the same and not getting a major backlash? I'm a KD fan, but I'm not a fan of these comments at a press conference. I would have loved somebody from the press to ask "Coach, do you think you gave your kids the best chance to compete tonight?" & "Coach, if you played these guys next week, what would you do different, or would you do the same and expect different results?" Reminds me of this years NFL rule with the helmet. I really love when the referees try to be part of the game, it always adds to the entertainment for the fan of the game.

Youtube sure does like to forward messages and say "I agree with you, here at Akron we blah blah blah.....so I forwarded your message to such and such" This has been his response to a number of suggestions/concerns.

I always have a hard time deciphering a basketball game's coaching. I walk away from a game wondering what could have been done different. It's hard for me to judge in basketball because 3 more of our three pointers fall and 3 more of the opponent's don't, we win (sort of). I watch football, and it's obvious to me when a somebody (Colts last weekend) gets out coached. Does anybody think that KD was out coached last night? Per quotes on Rasor's blog, KD called it "a bad effort" Other quotes are critical of team members.

What was the "special announcement" referred to earlier in this thread? Video looked like a pretty standard half time team recognition. PS Thanks for posting the video!

That is one of the most amazing things I have seen. Can you imagine our basketball team with 4 players in the top 5 of the draft? Football team? There would be no way they could lose? Now I see why the team was so good. Far superior talent! No wonder KD makes comments like he did at the last post game press conference. Amazing.

Since we have had two NFL'ers since I have followed the team, I don't buy it for an second. Derr & Alcorn. Both recruited to kick in the Rubber Bowl too.

I hope the special announcement is that a freshman on the team just discovered that he has the uncanny ability to kick 60 yard field goals consistently and is excited about trying it out for iCoach this spring.

That bracket is messed up. It would have Akron playing Columbus State if they both won their first 3 games. I read somewhere that Akron doesn't compete with them???

I'm not sure you will find Zips games on Veetle, but I recently discovered this site. It's crazy what they show on here. Works really well on the ipod too.

I would agree with that. I have heard KD in his post game interviews say this very thing more than a few times.

Proper advertising of the event that happens there. If you didn't write "within reason", I would have went with "nice weather."

When asked why we ran the "stack" JD's answer was "because it's hard to recruit DL in the MAC". That I will never forget. Never made any sense to me. Not a fan of the Tampa Two, I like an attacking style defense. I would rather dictate what I do rather than react to what the offense does.

I've never watched a basketball game on Versus, but they do a fantastic job with hockey.

Marshall was 6-6 that year and lost to Akron. (S. Holmes won that game by himself against Marshall) I'm not trying to argue anything, just making lies with stats to try to give myself some kind of hope come September. I wish we weren't playing them this year. Nothing will start my year off worse than losing to them. My dislike for that business grows everyday when I read about the honks that support them.
