I would guess this is simple lip service to make the fan feel like he is part of the process. Not a bad idea. I'm pretty sure that link goes directly to his "in box" PS I still responded like he asked. I figure I can't complain if I didn't.

Direct Link to "ASK THE AD" to send your comment to Tom.

If you understand the definition of an artist and take into account the context that it is used, it will make sense to you. I like the quote.I'll probably take some flack for this also, but can we stop the artist analogies. Most of the guys on the soccer team wouldn't know a brayer from a filbert. -
How many threads are you going to post the same thing in? Do you have some kind of agenda?Good Bye Nicely! -
I didn't realize he is from New Castle, PA Would he pick Akron?
He would make an interesting candidate. How many schools have a coach that can fly themselves to recruiting visits?BTW IF Mangino gets fired, I think he'd make an interesting candidate. -
This topic has been started already. Click here.

Check here for your answer. Grad Assistant.CK called this one (Browning) back in September.
What is "offensive GA" ?This was just posted on Footballscoop.com Mitch has been mentioned before. He was my first thought. Browning interviewed when JD was hired.Akron: We are hearing that Akron AD Tom Wistrcill is very close with Tennessee offensive GA Mitch Browning. Wistrcill as an associate AD at Minnesota when Browing served as the OC for the Gophers under Glen Mason. -
I would LOVE to have your thought process on how you come to that conclusion!?! Can you please explain for each candidate? BTW, four years from now, the new coach will have all of "their players" no matter who it is.I don't see anyone on that list besides Winters that strikes me as a coach who would be successful next season. They all seem like the people who would try to blow up the program and start from scratch trying to bring in "their system" with "their players". -
I had to look up the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs since I have never heard of them. Buffalo pounded the puppy poo out of them 40-3 this year!!!!

Here is the source on that info. It's under Saturday, November 28, 2009, you have to page down to see it. Listed under Akron.Luke Fickell BioRon Vanderlinden BioScot (with one t) Loeffler BioPaul Chryst BioPaul Winters Bio (for those of you not familar)Don Treadwell BioMark Snyder BioI think we have a good idea of the type of person Tom is looking to hire from this list.Sources tell FootballCoachScoop that Athletic Director Tom Wistrcill is very interested in talking with Luke Fickell (Ohio State Co-Defensive Cooridantor/Linebacker Coach), Ron Vanderlinden (Penn State Linebacker Coach/Former Maryland HC), Scot Loeffler (Florida Quarterbacks Coach), Paul Chryst (Wisconsin Offensive Coordinator), Paul Winters (Wayne State Head Coach), Don Treadwell (Michigan State Offensive Coordinator) and Mark Snyder (Marshall Head Coach). -
Jimmy played his best game of the season. He is now up to 2.5 ppg and 2.2 rpg. Can he reach CK's high expectations?? Stay tuned.I predict 4ppg & 4rpg for Jimmy in 2009-10. Percentage-wise, it would be a big increase over his career numbers. -
Why would you come into the football forum if you didn't want to talk football?
-
Nice list. Good luck to JD and his family.
I'm excited for a new brand of Zips football next year!

Teams change coaches all the time. It works trust me. With a 17-31 record the past four seasons even JD wasn't surprised. It seems pretty easy to sell to a young mind, be it a recruit or current player, that we are not satisfied going 17-31, we wantto be 31-17. Don't you?

Give me your source. Not some bs "I heard" PN16 has the starting job locked down at a Div I school as a sophomore. Why would you leave that? Can you imagine a better situation at that age? If there is any truth to "what you heard", he is getting bad career advice and needs to reevaluate.I'm not a big fan of your subject "what you actually heard" How about what we know. As of right now, here it is:Wistrcill said a national search for a coach will begin immediately. He said a decision will be made soon about whether to hire a search firm to help or whether a suitable candidate can be found independently.sourceI heard that if JD got fired, then Nicely would transfer. -
The end of the stack "defense" after tomorrow.

Boo Kevin Allen, how hard is it to get a current photo of Zeke in Akron gear?

I bet they are ready for their conference play after those games.

I like going back and reading what people say or predict. I hope we aren't doing the same thing next year, because going backand reading what I wrote LAST year, is just how I feel this year. I won't go through another season watching this, it's too predictable.I just want to win.I thought it might be interesting to revisit what people had to say regarding whether JD should have been retained after LAST season. -
Steve is a nice guy, but remember, he gets PAID to do it. The fans pay to watch. Feel sorry for the FANS.I feel bad for Steve French. How much bad football has that guy had to sit through this season? -
It's harder to watch the team lose. I'm sure JD will land on his feet.Don't feel sorry for JD, feel sorry for the dedicated Zip fans that go to all the games and just want to see the team win.Its still hard to see a man lose his job -
What does the MAC need to do?1. Stop the bleeding.3. Improve the product on the field.4. Get better players? 5. Get better coaches?6. Win more.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Jimmy on his first bucket of the year.
What will you tell Tom Wistrcill?
