  1. You either don't watch much "Big" Ten football, or you are 95 years old. :)PS It doesn't matter what the line is, the better team will win.
  2. Speaking of radio and the Zips. I'll mention this because I did it. It doesn't apply to most, but if it helps one person so be it. I have an ipod touch that I use at the game to check scores of other games and get the zips stats LIVE since you can connect to wifi at the new stadium. Just another benefit of being "on campus."I figured out how to listen to the game through an app called Pocket Tunes, it's awesome in 10 different ways, I got Pocket Tunes because I have a Sirius subscription and I use it for that. But I have recently discovered you can pick up just about any local radio station by searching the city. So if your a Bengals fan and you want to listen to the game on Sunday just search "Cincinnati." Works for the Zips too. Unfortunately it's web delayed, but if you were just listening to get a description of an injury or penalty or a review it could work. Pretty cool for a sports fan for 6.99 on itunes.
  3. I'm not sure, I thought it was from the plant. Whatever it is, it made me laugh.

  5. Dan had 10 yards rushing Saturday. He doesn't need to run, but it is appealing to have a guy that is hard to sack. Think of the last guy that won the SB. IMO Pat White is the type of QB that NEEDS to run. I watched his first NFL pass Sunday....oh boy.
  6. I displayed my pass and saw many other passes displayed. I also saw parked cars that did not have a pass. If you wanted to park there, and didn't have a pass, I would try it this week and report back. Who knows, things may be different this week, they seemed (to their credit) be pretty relaxed with the "rules" last Saturday.
  7. It's supposed to be a nice day Saturday also, that should help.
  8. Spread the news: More teams adopting wide-open scheme that helps QBsGiven the impact and overwhelming success of the spread on the college level, it was only a matter of time before savvy NFL coaches started to study the offense and implement some of the basics into their game plans.Look at any NFL game each week, and the bubble screen, shovel pass or zone-read will pop up throughout the course of the contest. While those plays existed long before the spread became the rage, the innovative system has made them hallmarks of the offense. And their big-play potential has led to their incorporation into most NFL game plans. Two seasons ago, the New England Patriots shattered several league records using spread-offense basics as part of their game plan. Their countless quick screens to wide receivers Wes Welker and Randy Moss were taken right from the pages of a spread offense’s playbookWSJ Article on the SpreadWay Out On a Limb: The first time I seen Dan, I loved his mechanics, the second time I had this feeling was Saturday Sept 5th watching Patrick Nicely warm up in Happy Valley.
  9. Get well Gary.
  10. LeFevour Stuns 14.5 Point Favorite Michigan State
  11. I'll type it before someone else does....How about a Wildcat package for him ?
  12. I like how Tom says to "come early and stay late" Seems like a guy that understands what the fans want.
  13. Don't do a Micheal Jackson tribute and I promise I won't complain. So far I like Akron's band better than Penn State's band. I liked the "A"
  14. +1 Didn't we just build a nice stadium on campus???? And skip is right, Columbus State fans would show up. I don't want them at a Zips game. Stay away. We want to build a fan base of Zips fans starting with our students, IMO we do that every time we have a game at The Info. Get as many games there as you can. In five or six years we will have triple the alumni at the games. That's where it's at!
  15. It was a mixture of both. I paid for a season pass there. I got there just before noon and the party was jumpin'If I had to give somebody $5, I'm not sure who I would give it to?!? I'm only guessing, but I think some parked for free. Can anybody verify? Maybe it was just because it was the first week?
  16. They will impress me if I see photos from Central, Buffalo, Syracuse, Northern, and BG.
  17. Anyone?I don't see the purpose of going on game day. Maybe if it is raining. I planned on going downtown (Whiskey Dicks) before joining a tailgate party just to check it out and see if there was any "buzz". The minute I arrived on campus and saw how much tailgating was going on I changed my mind, parked my car and started tailgating. I was hoping that tailgating was going to be as fun as the Rubber Bowl, I now think it might be better! Seems like a lot of new people are into it on campus.
  18. So true.-------------JD's line since spring has been "Rodgers is going to play" I have translated that as he is going to come into games as he has been doing. I like the change of pace until he comes in and fumbles or gets picked looking at one receiver. I have yet to see him look at a second receiver and throw it to him. Maybe it's just due to lack of experience. We will see. I would guess that if Rodgers started a game right now the offense would get very predictable, that's why I am for using him as a change of pace.
  19. Thanks for taking the time to post the photo.I ran into a student Saturday that pulled his wrist band off the minute he got it and put a dab of hot glue on it to put it back on game day.
  20. Lot 73 was full. Plenty of parting going on. IMO, it could use a $99 sign that says "LOT 73" It is grass BTW.I only guessed where it was (just down Brown St past the gas station at the corner). 2 minute walk to the Info.
  21. Just in my time at the University we have had two kickers sign contracts with NFL teams. It isn't THAT hard!?!?
  22. I disagree, I thought he was somewhat effective in the limited action he saw. Don't judge him on stats alone. I saw him double teamed twice where the linebackers were able to come up and make the tackle. It's not like he is taking time away from a stud DL. He rotated in on a handful of plays, if he can do that and be effective, I am all for it. Better test against IU this week though.
  23. I pay 4.95 extra to have the cable company block any Columbus State games.
