  1. Explain to me why we have to win all these things first before we "move on"?Can't we get really good somewhere else just as easy (if not easier) than where we are?I'm not saying we are moving or not, I just don't understand the point of "winning" and THEN moving.
  2. "... No one could do at Wayne State what he's done."
  3. Let's set 2 realistic goals for this week that will improve our chances of winning.1. Keep the high snaps to one a quarter, that should cut them down by 50%2. Receivers, only give up one interception off a ball that you tip into the air. *Weather looks to be nice.* I've noticed that #12 has better hands when he is thrown the ball less than 10 yards down the field.(also, while I'm speaking of #12, please don't use him returning punts, we have better talent. Did he win a reward in practice last week?)
  4. EVERY? Every as in THREE? Out of those three, one is ranked in the top 25 and the other two are receiving votes to be in the top 25!?!CJ has a 124.47 QB rating, which will be higher when his targets quit volleying up INTs for him. He is also 20th in the nation in TD passes. Is he perfect? No, but I'm not sure he deserves as many critical posts as he receives. On the UA seasonal lists, Jacquemain’s 1,457 yards is 15th. His 124 completions is 13th on the UA single-season list. He has been right around the 60 percent completion range all season. Currently, Charlie Frye is the only UA quarterback to complete over 60 percent of his passes in a season, a feat he accomplished in 2002 (65,8), 2003 (64.8) and 2004 (63.6).At this rate, Jacquemain will join the two other UA quarterbacks under head coach J.D. Brookhart (all-time leader Charlie Frye and second-place Luke Getsy) on the top of the UA all-time passing lists.
  5. A little early for grades IMO. We beat Syracuse, Army & Can't.If we lost to any one of those "teams" the "fire JD" threads would be obnoxious. We need to become more consistent. The one thing I do like now (that I didn't before)is the time off after the next two games. It sets up nice to improve our team. A goodcoaching staff is always able to improve their team with lot of time off between games. We should be a much better team when we play Toledo. I'll be ready for some grades after that game (good or bad).
  6. Now the chant "Just like football" works at the JAR.
  7. All you need to know:Akron holds a 28-20-2 edge and has won three of the last four meetings including last years battle
  8. On top of that, three-year starter Dennis Kennedy has suffered almost game to game with leg cramps. So the Zips maybe looking at taking the redshirt off a true freshman for the game this Saturday at Can't State.

  12. Be smarter & don't act a fool, you'll be fine. PS I would have to see that alcohol tester to believe that one.
  13. Get well AJ.
  14. the offense cannot advance the ball if it recovers its own fumble on fourth downI found this in multiple places on the internet, but none that are very credible. Anybody know for sure?
  15. I saw him come out of the "tunnel" after halftime. He was on crutches and seemed in good spirits.Get well soon Alex!
  16. I have a hard time getting excited about a loss, but the defense should be given credit this week, they played well. They put pressure on the QB more than once. That is a positive thatshould be taken from the game. Keep it up D!Sitting at the game I couldn't help think to myself "if I was game planning against the Zips, this would not be the way I would attack them." Cincy offensive coaches did not impress me.On offense, I wish we could have changed something up in the fourth. I wish we had something that teams had very little, or no film on. We had two good chances to put together a game winning drive and did the same thing that proved to be ineffective for much of the game.
  17. No rankings until week 5. Problem solved.
  18. Nice find CK, I pulled a screen capture out of the pdf for fans:I also found these two things of interest that I thought I would share with others:
  19. Nice job Birdzip! Pat Summit & Ross Geller made me laugh.Zip81, I looked for a Fabio image for Dustin Grutza but couldn't find a good one, yours is better.
  20. If the coaches are making halftime adjustments, the players are not executing them.If there have been halftime adjustments that the players have executed, then they were not very good halftime adjustments.I'm going to try to pay specific attention to see if any "adjusting" is going on during the game this week.PS Getting Rodgers snaps in a fourth quarter blowout is not considered an "adjustment" (this is not a prediction)
  21. Small images can be found on the Bearcat Roster hereAlex Apyan is.........from Spinal Tap
  22. If anybody has ever heard our coach say this let me know. This quote is from coach Tomlin yesterday:He accepted blame for that. "As coaches, we could have done a better job of adjusting and putting these guys in a position to be successful."
  23. I was listening to Sarah Palin speak last night, she said it was Bearcat season in Akron and she was taking this weekend off the campaign trail. So keep your eyes peeled for a helicopter flying above the Rubber Bowl.
  24. Robinson's time at Syracuse coach appears to be growing short, since he lost to the AKRON Zips?!?!?
  25. Chiefs should have played him at QB, I'm POSITIVE he could do better than what I witnessed Sunday.
