  2. Best sport fan invention in my lifetime.
  3. Didn't Clinton do that once?
  4. For all of the crappy weather tailgating you have endured at the Rubber Bowl, this one's for you! Enjoy it, even if it is a Wednesday!

  6. Thanks for the schedule 54 (should you change # too? )According to this article, "McKeesport plays varsity contests at Neenie Campbell Memorial Gym in Founders' Hall" If you google map "Neenie Campbell" nothing comes up, if you google map "Founders' Hall" the below comes up.I was trying to post a map so that anybody that wanted to go to support "Cuatro Cuatro®" could refer to it. Does anybody have better info than I do?Seems to be about 120 miles from the University. About a 2 hour drive.
  7. Hip, was that "stat" or "rap?"
  8. Crazy thought, why not do both? How long is this test? What class it this?
  9. This seems semi appropriate since we are in the middle of our double buy weeks.I can remember when this years schedule come out, I cringed. Two buy weeks in a row? Thursday game? Wednesday game? MAC screwed us again!Remember when we weren't in the MAC? Check out this schedule. I'm sure a many of you remember this schedule, but I'm guessing some frequent visitors here don't.How do you see the schedule changing in the future, say 10 years down the road?In case you were curious about the results from 1991 click here
  10. Thanks, I didn't know that. So basically anybody with spare time can do a better job than DLM now. Good idea by the BJ, even if it wasn't originally theirs. Not saying it wasn't, just guessing.
  11. Never heard of Vincent Dorsey, but good job. Hope he took DLM's spot.
  12. Thanks for the update ZW.
  13. Good topic. I'll play along.First off, I don't feel that comparing an NFL coaching situation to an Akron college coaching situation is fair. Many reasons, but money being the biggest. Somebody (CK maybe) made the Ball St coaching analogy. That is probably more fitting. But your point is a good one, and is valid. That being said, your asking me to tell you why I want the coach removed, I don't. I think JD is the right kind of leader for the Zips, and I agree with youthat changing the coach would only be a set back at this point.Buuuuuut, if I had to give you one reason why we should change, you know this is coming...it's the 3-3-5. Period.Once JD admits his mistake and says "you know, when I first got in this league I thought the 3-3-5 was the proper way to go, I now realize that I can succeed with (insert new defense here). I have been giventhe proper tools to recruit at a higher level now and I am able to put the right athlete in the right position."That would excite me about Akron football. I'll be living off the high of the new stadium next year, but if our defenseis playing the same way come 2010, I'm putting a donation site together until I reach my goal of buying a billboard in Akron that has simple text across the billboard that says "changeyourdefensejd.com"
  14. Go Blue...dot comQ U O T E SOn what to take away from the game... "We learned a heck of a lot from this game. It put us at a different level as a team. It is not always about skill, but the size of the fight. When you have both skill and fight, you are a tough team to beat."On the game... "This was a great college soccer game, for sure. Akron is a very good team. The environment was electric, and in the end, we ran out of time."On the difference... "They defended all the way to 90th minute. Their first shot was a goal and it was a good goal. We had already had two good shots and forced the keeper to make a good save. They had more moments in first half and we had more in the second half -- we just didn't score on them."
  15. Anybody, anytime, anywhere
  16. 'Contact Us' (bottom of the page) should work
  17. Agreed. How about a "Love Child" one then?Example: Mel Kiper Jr. is the "Love Child" of Count Chocula and Joey Buttafuoco.
  18. 'The MAC This Week' forgot to mention the big pillow fight.Congrats to Ken+ for making the "pillow fight" game and the "bottom 10"The Golden flushes are last (and winless) in the MAC East. They are No. 90 in scoring offense. They are No. 111 in turnover margin. :screwks:PS Half of the Zips schedule this year is either on the list, or on the waiting list!?!?
  19. I have to respectfully disagree. I think exactly what bugs you, is the same thing that I appreciate about Stamms.
  20. I know how Z-Pouch loves a good story on Tyree Evans, BJ went out of its way to help out
  21. I have 'The Sunday Capital' from Annapolis, October 24, 1999 hanging in my cube.AKRON SHOCKS NAVYMids give up 23-point lead, lose game
  22. If there were only a place we could discuss such an article, hmmmmm.....
  23. Here are ESPN QB ratings.. His 14 touchdowns are included. This is the part that CJ needs to work on. He will take a LOT less heat around here when he does.
  24. Maybe I was in a good mood from a Zips win on Saturday, but one of my first thoughts after the game was, "that was really fun to listen to" I really like the way the three man team has evolved. They compliment each other very well. I think as Akron football fans we are fortunate to have them. Thanks guys! Please include your stories or thoughts...
  25. That's funny, I was going to pose the same question to you?You should lighten up on your attacks here. I can assure you this is a fan board run by fans. End of discussion.
