What gives you that indication?
-
Understood. My intent is not to prove anybody wrong or right. I just like to see who, and how the Zips offense attacks the defense. And, how the offense evolves. Helps me better understand, and dissect the game and my team. I appreciate any of your input.

I have nothing at this point, I will take anything you are willing to do! Start small, don't ruin your day by overdoing it. Hopefully others will join in.

I'll give you a like if you just put a check next to Wolf, Coney, Chapman, Kwad, Bickley and other receiver that is in on each play, and give me the totals next week. ? I would also be interested for someone else to do the defensive line. If we can start to gather a history of data, then you can approach someone about selling it if that's your thing. I really only care about the Zips, but I'm sure there are college football fans that like the game enough to value this info.

Yeah, rewatching the first half of that game, I didn't realize how many 12 and 22 personnel sets we run. Way more than our typical 11. Sunday Zips games are tough for me. I have three NFL games on, and watch with a group. I also didn't realize how many snaps Bickley got. BTW, Booker played awesome. @94zipgrad, in your opinion, why is AJ changing it up? I wish they had this data for the MAC.

I'll keep a better eye out. I have to admit, I had a hard time telling who the receivers were this week with the quality of the broadcast. I'd give my left pinky for college football snap counts. I do remember a lot of 12 personnel with Smith and Wolf early. Maybe I'll go back and try to rewatch who was playing when it was 11.

Chapman plays in almost all 11 personnel plays, and leads the team in receptions.

You can rewatch game here: http://www.wmubroncos.com/watch/?Live=17&type=Live

Maybe we can pick up one more win against them this year, and make it 5-13.

What makes a good Monday for a Zips fan? Adding a game on the first Saturday in December to your calendar to make sure the date is cleared.

I liked how Thomas Woodson referred to him as Jerome Bettis ? wearing #36 when JJ asked about trying to tackle him. ?

I still believe making a bowl is a nice reward. The players enjoy it, the team gets extra practices, and I'm sure it's a good recruiting tool. Not to mention, as a fan, I get to see my favorite team play another game. This is probably why coach Bowden puts such a high priority, and talks so much about becoming bowl edible each year. I wonder what a player that played in the Pitt, WMU and Utah game would say his favorite victory was?

Which Zips QB will start the most games in 2017?
Dr Z replied to InTheZone's topic in Akron Zips Football
One more start should lock it up. -
Zips Wins - 4 Warren Ball rushing yards - 332 ? Reception Leaders - Tra’Von 26 and Coney 25 Defensive sacks - 15 With Warren Ball being locked in as the under, and a defense that is coming on strong, almost assuredly going 20 and over sacks for the season, only @zzx @GJGood and @Aaron seem to have a chance. @zzx over on the wins, with Chapman. @GJGood under on the wins, with Wolf. @Aaron under on the wins, with Chapman. Good luck guys. I'm rooting for @zzx.

Congratulations to @Lee Adams the only poll winner this week.

Akron and Western Michigan face major tests. By Elton Alexander, The Plain Dealer The Zips (3-3, 2-0) are both the surprise of the league and the biggest puzzle. They have lost to Penn State, Iowa State and Troy, with competitive efforts vs. ISU and Troy. And they have defeated three weak sisters -- Arkansas Pine Bluff, Bowling Green and Ball State. Traveling to WMU should tell if Akron, led by senior quarterback Tommy Woodson (1,124 yards passing, 8 TD), is a serious threat to become bowl eligible and contend for a division and overall 2017 MAC title.

• Nice feature on the Buddenbergs (10 minutes in). • Defensive play of the day, Brian Bell on 4th and goal, big tackle. • Stock rising, Rutgers transfer Darian Dailey, don't see a lot of stats on him, because teams don't throw his way often. • Everybody in the secondary is back next year, bright future for them and the defense.

Not the first game that Wentz has impressed me, but he looked great last night. A LOT of scouts were wrong about this kid. Wentz Makes Eagles Real

Jon Wassink has been limited to 3 interceptions this year, and the Broncos are 12th in the nation fumbling the ball 0.6 times a game. I wouldn't bank on the Broncos making multiple turnovers in this game, they don't seem like a careless team with the ball. Weather could be a factor though. This would be my focus. Let's go run stoppers! Show me cover 0 and let Gilbert run wild. Coach Stroud should have them fired up. ???
