If Nicely can remain patient and work hard in the off-season, he will no doubt be competing for a starting position by next year. He's just not ready for D-1A competition quite yet.Unless other teams that I'm not aware of have offered him, I'd say Akron was his best option. OU, Toledo, or BG? One's in a hicktown with record levels of meth abuse among the locals, one has quite possibly the lamest excuse for a mascot(alteast zippy doesn't try to intimidate...and fail horribly), and the last is a couple years from most likely playing Youngstown State in FCS. I'd say Akron, hands down, was the right selection.
