From what I understand, quantitiy and quality are going to have a direct relationship at Akron. That is, assuming people on this board are correctly informed about goals of open enrollment.

Too bad UA's main campus has 27,000 students as opposed to the 22,000 at Can't. Just because UA doesn't create some meaningless allusion of selectivity by creating ten other community colleges(that's essentially what the Can't branch campuses are). Ouch @ BG. And that's their enrollment at the main campus and all of their little community colleges combined. What's going on in BG?I'd love to see what the % growth was at Can't's main campus(did they set a cap on students yet?). I'd venture to guess Akron brought home the highest main campus increase in Ohio this fall.

What an awesome idea. If Akron did the same thing that would be GREAT. It seems Toledo's pretty far ahead of us as far as marketing campaigns go. I've seen some commercials for their football program and I was blown away.

Sorry, but the possibilitty of having a team National champion is more compelling than returning an individual nat'l champ. Also, from what I understand, the rifle coach is a local guy. He won't leave if we don't get better facilities soon.

A 5-7 record means you are one of the worst teams in an average to below average conference. I believe Akron can be a good team relative to the others in the MAC. That said, things can't get any better than that until we get out of the MAC. We can't have a Big 11 budget while in a small time conference.
