I laugh at the morons that constantly drive around the parking decks waiting for a spot to open. Their complete ignorance to the number of other parking areas is astounding. I too don't waste time looking for a space. I always go to my first-choice parking area first. If thats full, I move on to my second and third choice. On average, I dont spend more than 15 minutes finding a parking space. I would love to see them build a pedestrian bridge over exchange. Most of the pedestrian traffic there is contained within the McDonalds and Exchange St Dorms, so a bridge there would be perfect...

Ill be in my garage working on my car, so I am having the game DVRed for me by my sister. Ill be shutting my phone off at gametime to prevent any info on the game leaking to me before I get to see the match. Prediction: I gotta believe it'll be a tight one. With UNC playing what is essentially a home game, it'll be a bit rougher than we're used to. Im gonna go with a 2-1 victory.

my guess is that he wont do anything until after this weekend. I also suspect the University is waiting till after this weekend to offer any kind of contract restructuring so that this weekend can happen without any distractions from contract renegotiations or the like. Even so, I sincerely hope the University is willing to sack up and offer him a deal that will keep him around.

A pointy ball field is 53 yards wide; a soccer field is at least 70 yards.yeah I played soccer my whole life, including quite a few games in football stadiums. There should be enough room on both sides of the field for the proper width.Is it possible? Yes. However, Id suspect it'd be a VERY tight fit in the corners of the field. I think that while it'd be great to do soccer on that field, soccer deserves to have its own dedicated facility. Plus, I think that having a dedicated facility for the two sports gives a "big time" feel to both programs. In the realm of FBS football, perception is everything. Having a dual purpose stadium wouldn't give us as good of a perception as we wish to attain.

all the emails are saying they are expecting 4000+ in attendance for the game, which would absolutely SHATTER the record set last week.

the email stated they are removing the fence temporarily, so the view shouldn't be any worse than behind the other goal... just from bleachers.That is the impression I am getting too. My guess is that they won't take down the actual fence till the day of the game to prevent anyone from getting onto the field and messing it up.

I'll get some pictures in a little while, but so far theyve brought in 2 portable bleachers (they go about 6 rows high each) and appear to have room for 2 more. The blue tarp is off the fence, although I am not convinced the view is going to be very pretty from hehind it.

I was forced to get a SRO ticket last night because they told me they had sold out of everything else.From Gozips.com, it doesn't sound like your SRO ticket is SRO anymore...To make room for the additional seating, the fence on the west end of the stadium will be removed temporarily and bleachers will be installed. Moreover, to help compensate for what will likely be the team's fifth record-setting crowd of the season, all four gates will be accessible to fans. Once again, the will call table will be available at 2:30 p.m.Additional Tickets...Ill swing by the ticket office and get more info tomorrow. I would REALLY prefer not to have to stand behind that fence just to watch the game. We'll see tho. Im still gonna try to get an AK-ROWDIES ticket

So.... a little bit of an update on tickets.The game is probably going to sell out tomorrow. I got my ticket tonight and I was forced to get the SRO ticket as everything else was sold out. The SRO ticket, however, isnt for the grass hill east of the field... Oh no... this ticket is for behind the west goal. Akron's way of getting fans able to watch the game behind the west goal? Take down the blue tarp behind the west goal, fence off the entrances to the walkway, and charge $5 to stand behind the field's fence and watch the game. Kinda pathetic, if you ask me... tho I still bought it so I can at least be there. Ill try to get a regular ticket via the AK-ROWDIES, but I didnt want to take any chances with that.Please Akron.... when you build the new stadium... put a grass hill behind the west Goal.

Just called and it appears they are going to be doing standing room only behind the west goal at $5 per ticket. Not sure how thats going to work out, but...

I just can't see him leaving anytime soon. With the new soccer stadium coming... but I cant speak on his behalf, so we'll just have to hope nothing will come of this

Does the parking deck stand out right now like a sore thumb? YesWill it still look like one once completed? I doubt it. In case nobody has noticed, they have renderings posted around the construction site showing what it will look like. Based on what I have seen, the parking deck will look very similar to the East Campus Parking Deck in that there will be glass-enclosed staircases and red brickwork put on all the major facades. Sure, it may have this imposing wall-like feel to it once completed, but I think it wont look as bad as many are painting it to be.
