  1. in case anyone didnt get to see it...
  2. Amen. Some fifth string scrub gets in trouble and the program is out of control. The program isn't out of control, the team is not playing up to it's potential on the field....that's the problem. Most fans don't really understand how little the players care about off field issues. Most are going about their day going to class, practice, homework, getting something to eat (believe me, offensive linemen are much more worried about their next meal than some knucklehead getting into a fight) and the girlfriends. There isn't much time to worry about anything else. Can't argue with that! Let's change up their diet a little. Maybe that'll jump start 'em!restrict them to only beans, bread, and water until they can keep the QB's jersey clean!
  3. I think we can all agree this ship has been taking on water for longer than just the 3 weeks of this season. The problem is that with this past week, the small leaks have turned into gaping holes. It will take a miracle to save this season and JDs job. Don't get me wrong, I have faith in the guys to not give up, but the 1-2-3 punch we've suffered in the last week is going to be hard to overcome.
  4. Thats sad... really...I didnt know anyone here was really complaining about tailgating. From what i've heard, tailgating has been just as fun as it was over at the RB.
  5. STZ, the rumor about stealing has also made it my way. I was told by a very reliable source that this was the reason for his suspension. I dont know specifics, but seeing that I am not the only one who has heard this leads me to believe that it may hold more water than I first believed.
  6. I am under the impression that the hill was sloped like that so that, if the need presented itself, the university could easily convert that section into a concreted, benched section. They wouldnt slop it like that and then leave it grass forever.
  7. What kind of camera did you use? If its a SLR/DSLR, I would HIGHLY suggest getting a polarizing filter to help cut down on a lot of the glare. Even so, great pics. Didnt even know the king was in the house!
  8. I would normally agree, but I think a Big10 opponent has a little more significance because of the history and tradition of the conference itself in comparison to a BigEast or ACC opponent. Maybe its just me, but I honestly would feel that a win over a Big10 opponent is a bit more noticeable than a win over a BigEast/ACC opponent.
  9. You're probably right. I wonder if ESPN forced their hand. Most definitely. UA probably wanted this matchup televised because it was a Big10 opponent, but ESPN could only give them this time slot, which also happened to overlap with OSU.
  10. My biggest beef with the attendance was why in the world they opened up the hill. Why would they do that? I would have much rather seen full student sections than half empty stands with a hill full of apathetic students. It pisses me off to no end when students don't get into the game. I thought the grass hill was only for overflow when the student sections fill up??????
  11. Plus an appearance by none other than Dr P!!!!!!
  12. The tv crew stopped over at the soccer match and did a little segment on the game. Wonder if anyone saw it?
  13. I've heard a variety of reasons, none of which have been confirmed. Whatever it was, it was a serious offense.
  14. The university sent out this email yesterday for students to take a survey on student housing. Looks like thy are trying go find out how many students want to live on campus and what kind of dorm environment they want. I get the feeling that the second dorm that will go on the southeast corner of the stadium will be built very very soon. It stinks because that lot there is a very good spot for those diehard tailgaters.
  15. we do indeed have imperial march. we even played it a time or two also, the venga boys' "we like to party" is an interesting suggestion. i say this only because it can be hard to translate techno into band music. i didn't say impossible, mind you. its just that if its written poorly it can not sound good AT ALL.I think of all the techno you could play, "We Like to Party" is probably the easiest for you guys to translate to band music. Its a very simple song in structure and really only the "catch" part (the part everyone knows) is necessary. Id love to see that played.I know ive seen bands play Sandstorm, but I dont know how successful it was. Its been a while since I have heard it played by a band.Another GREAT song you guys could learn to play would be the Motral Kombat theme song. Id look into it if I were you...
  16. 3 yards and a cloud of dust?I was actually reading an article today about Tressel and his offensive game plan. He flat-out said he coaches his games to be a battle of field position with an emphasis on special teams and defense to win games.
  17. Let me know how your experience goes with it, zipsrifle. I may be interested in getting this for those away games I cant make it to and cant get on TV.
  18. One of these days Im gonna sit down and have lunch with him. Every day i see him eating when I am taking lunch over in Polsky. Knowing he's doing computer science intersts me even more. smart, smart kid who just happens to be 7 foot tall and tosses a basketball around.
  19. I think its a great idea.... feel better now?
  20. I think you might be on to something hereimagine the noise 5000 of those would make coming from the student section...
  21. of course they would. How dare a program form the lowly MAC be a unanimous #1!
