Maves starting to be real busy making saves this second half. Stanford is really putting the pressure on us. SOG and CKs are still in our favor but Stanford seems to be playing our game against us. Thankfully Maves wasnt getting tired and has been making quite a few saves. Zips still up 2-0

I noticed this as well. I think its about time the baseball field gets some permanent seating. I also think the current design would allow use of the soccer facility's concourse areas to be used for baseball. If I am looking at things correctly, it's all the same area. In regards to a shared facility... as much as I want to support that idea, they already do that with the current facility and I get the feeling its been a hindering point of the soccer stadium. It made sense then, but now that Akron is blitzing the NCAA tourney, we need a facility that is dedicated to soccer and showing that UA recognizes and cares for one of its nationally recognized athletics programs.Baseball should have its own area. Softball/Fastpitch already does, why not baseball?

Here's a crazy thought...if we have an indoor practice facility for football, and an outdoor field (summa style) right next to it, why do we need the practice field next to schrank?How about we use the real estate better?I'm fairly certain that the soccer team practices on that field to keep the grass on Lee Jackson in good condition. I think it makes sense to keep as well.Men's soccer, women's soccer, Band, flag football, field hockey, lacrosse... they all use that field. I may be even mistaken and forgetting more.

Getting rid of the tennis courts has been in the plans for a long time. If I remember correctly, its the second phase of the coleman commons project.Is it too late to push for bermed seating behind the west goal too?!?!?!

Tonight will truly show how much of an agenda the NCAA has against mid-major teams and conferences. They've done it before, but never before have they been faced with an overwhelming amount of reason to give us the #1 seed. Undefeated, dominating offense, stifling defense, #1 rank in all the polls, #1 RPI... If Akron is denied the top seed that they rightfully deserve, I sincerely hope the Athletic Department takes action against the NCAA to defend the players and coaches who have dedicated themselves to this University and their performances each game this season. Good luck to the Zips in the selection show... Its our time to shine.

Does anyone have a list of what the spreads were for all of the Zips games so far this season? Id be interested to see how large they were for the games against the West and how they compare to our games against the East so far.

correct me if I am wrong, but isnt the funding for the new soccer stadium already in place? According to this post by g-mann17, the money was already given to design and begin the first phase at least. I could be wrong though.The arena is still years down the road from here, so I wouldnt see that as being a major financial burden any time soon. As STZ pointed out, we have already invested $60+ million into the football team and we need someone here to provide a product that will return on that investment.

You are correct, however the reserve and priority reserved seats should offset the students and the discounts from the family plans. Lets also not forget the club and suite seats that cost even more than that.To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout for the game. Considering our record and the perception of the University's football program to the general public, I was happy to see that many people come out for the game. I am also glad they got to see one of the best performances from our football team so far this season. Sure we aren't selling out, but honestly we aren't going to until we start winning consistently and we start making more noise nationally. Regardless, I am plenty happy with a 20k average and hope we maintain those numbers. It shows that the community supports the team more than the used to.Go Zips and beat the hell out of Temple!
