I'm liking the way iCoach says "Go Zips" at the end of his videos. Me too. GO ZIPS!

I don't know or care who delone carter is. Why I don't care is becasue I know who/what our DEFENSE IS. Believe me, this game will not be a pushover, but The ZIPS will certainly win. BTW, our OFFENSE is no slouch. Lots of talent on both sides of the ball. No Brag, Just Fact. I expect we win by 14 pts. I get that many doubt my sincerity and smirk at my braggadocio. And without any games yet played for the 2010 Zips, I can understand. But still, as I scour the talent of this year's team, I am only left with the conclusion that the bygone era of the Zips not being able to compete/win against mid-level BCS teams and not being the showcase football team of the MAC is OVER!! Let the season begin 2010 and the OrangeJuice flow.

I can't wait either. I had my new tripod satellite dish out on the porch last Sunday tuning it in, getting ready for the tailgate action to come. No more missing College Game Day! Going to pick up the new E-Z Up tonight. Got the Margaritaville Grill for Christmas. Woo-Hoo! I am with ya buddy! Get the party started! Lot 34 Baby! As for Syracuse? I am hoping the Zips are able to run the ball at will, eat up clock on long scoring drives, so that a well-rested D can come in and wreak havoc upon the 'Cuse offense. I am so effin pumped. General Patton?

Yes, you've watched the same QB as the rest of us. I've gotten a lot of the same feedback from people who have watched him play for years also, which is why I've cautioned a few people on here who seem convinced that we have a star on our hands. His scoreless performance in their state playoff game didn't help me get overly excited about him coming here either. I've used the Derek Anderson comparison myself, and so have many of the other people around me who've seen him play. Derek "looked" like a good QB too, until he had to complete a pass. I'm afraid I am seeing a lot of the same characteristics with this kid, which looked to continue as recently as the Spring game. I just sure hope he corrects it, or Rodgers gets healthy, or we get a transfer in here. Doesn't anyone think that Ron Powlus will have PN7 develop into the top QB in the MAC? I still like our chances with PN7 at the helm.

It's always better to be picked low and overachieve than to be picked high and underachieve. Everyone should have low expectations for the Zips until they prove themselves on the field. "Low expectations are for losers. I want to win." "We have one of the top QB's in the MAC, and the MAC is a QB-driven league." Damn Right. And the opposite is also logical. High expectations are for Winners. I have HIGH expectations, as we all should. I want to win.The ZIPS want to win. We have one of the top QB's in the MAC, and the MAC is a QB-driven league. I got to assume that Mr. Elton Alexander is a pseudonym for a particular sportswriter with the peculiar habit of sticking his head up his ass so as to impede his vision. And I’m being kind. If he seriously thinks that The ZIPS will finish last, then he’s Not Smarter Than a 5th Grader. But as a good sport I’m giving him some leeway as I don’t know him personally, but assume that he suffers from some organic brain disorder (aka Imjustadumbass disease). I'd like to nominate 'the Kid' for Giving up on the Zips Hall of Fame. In my humble opinion his performance over the last 6 months has pushed him right to the top. Who is "the Kid" ?

Just for laughs, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "NO" the Zips Probably will not beat all three. Most likely scenario is that we win only two of three. But..... GO ZIPS!

I don't understand/agree with Mr. Lipscomb's logic. "The Zips should expect an improvement over last year's outing, but facing three BCS foes in the early going, two of those on the road, as well as some growing pains in the new systems being installed, will likely lead to another season of struggle for the Zips." I believe that playing 3 BCS schools early (win or lose) only serves to toughen the ZIPS. We are winners who want/crave to be challenged. This is a great way to build team confidence. We don't want to beat-up on any team that Cant challenge us without difficulty or the need for hard work. Early predictions of our talent are just that. It is up to us to make our future. Believe me when I say "The ZIPS of 2010" are going to leave an incredible, indelible winning season mark in the annals (yes I said annals, hehe) of UA Football. We're not afraid. Bring 'em On! Some people might still remember the first Spring soccer schedule when Caleb Porter arrived. I can still recall the remarks about Akron playing Rio Grande! We've moved up to Michigan and Maryland. Maybe the football team will scrimmage ND in the future. If we ever do scrimmage/play ND, we'll kick their asses too. GO ZIPS!! 2010

I guess I know more about the ZIPS than Tom Gaffney. It aint' gonna be 6 & 6. I expect a more reasonable prediction would be 8 & 4. OK Meister? hehe! GO ZIPS 2010

The MAC is a weak conference. LIke ITZ state -- JD's last couple recruiting classes were solid. They just came too late to save him. The Zips should compete for a MAC East title this season. Damn right. And when we do win the MAC, we're all gonnna party like Pornstars. I mean Rockstars. GO ZIPS. 2010
