  1. Maybe they're afraid of playing WMU again in the MAC Championship if they win the East.
  2. Let's eat the clock,then call a running play. I'm lost.
  3. And keep pace with their scoring.
  4. He got to the outside and found another gear. Nice run. That'll open things up.
  5. How about we stop throwing deep?
  6. Didn't need that turnover...
  7. TIED BACK UP
  8. Yep. Bet he enjoyed that.
  9. The Nittany Lions tie it up
  10. It would make for a nice road trip with the leaves turning.
  11. D seems to be lacking. Luckily Penn State can't hit the side of a barn right now.
  12. Anybody else watching on BTN?
  13. Another great call by the Scar... ITT Shuts Down leaving tens of thousands of students in the lurch What a fricken disaster that would have been
  14. It seemed to take a quarter or more to knock the rust off. Then it became a fun game.Nice crowd too. So, nobody knows how to fix the scoreboard, so they buy a new one and bolt it onto the old one? That's the kind of stuff you see at Division 6 high school stadiums next to long-closed steel mills. It's only 8 years old and they can't find anyone to fix it? Tacky.
  15. What in the hell was that??
  16. This can't help. And there's a growing apathy among college-age adults that college is a waste of money. Including on campus.
  17. I do this with the FIFA game. Pretty solid side if I say so myself. I use the LA Galaxy franchise, it's about the closest kit I have found.
  18. I don't think this is posted yet. If so my apology. http://www.thedevilstrip.com/home/better-now-than-never-a-view-from-campus-on-the-dawning-of-the-post-scarborough-era/
  19. Agree 100%. I need to see some PROGRESS. We do have a voice.
  20. What cold weather college baseball needs is a group of schools to form a new conference where you don't travel out of state, you don't chase dreams of being first round Superregional fodder, and you don't spend a ton on scholarships. And the scholly's would be for school only, not boarding. Recruit locally commuter students. Play more games per week in April and May, or have a fall session and spring season, maybe some double headers with minor league teams. It has to be sustainable. With more local flavor, local rivalries, and MLB's increasing popularity, it coud work. But it'll never happen.
  21. To be fair, it wasn't a bad idea when the Cavs, Lumberjacks, and Thunderbolts were in Richfield. They hosted the Crunch (the only profitable team in the league) and quite a few shows that clashed with similar shows at the other arena (which at the time was 20 miles away. A few years later the "big time" arena is 0.7 miles away). The Vikings were a big deal when the arena was under development with a Sweet 16 run and a string of winning seasons. Of course later came the NCAA sanctions and soon after the coach was in drug rehab. That's not quite the way to build a major college program. Like so many other things Cleveland, "it seemed like a good idea at the time."
  22. Is Stark State a four year college? If not does Akron allow "seemless" transfer from Stark to Akron, ala Lorain CCC? If so I can see this as a big positive for students that don't want to go to the Polsky, or out to Wayne/Medina/Lakewood.
  23. Understood. I have not watched one inning of college baseball all year on TV, and it seems like there's more and more on every year. Just seeing it in the listings puts a pit in my stomach.
