I think it probably will gain traction when the prizes begin to be distributed. At the very least it gives the Athletic Department valuable student attendance information. It also lays the ground work for better targeted marketing efforts. Wait and see if after basketball season point totals jump.

You'll need to be more original than that to gain traction on ZN.O. I'll stand by it. Every one of Dave in Green's posts defends the coach/program. Strange. Wait until you read some of his basketball posts. He is a valued member of ZNO.

Icoach lost to a bad FCS team...JD won average 5 games/season including a mac title game...Icoach is getting blown out at home by bottom rung MAC teams.

If I had to choose, I guess I'd take the tOSU assistant. However, why would the top assistant at tOSU leave there to coach at an 0-12 school? And please don't tell me the facilities. We were supposed to be good because of facilities and look where we are now. To be in charge and show potential for the next level of head coaching.

I was sitting right behind him Several people in our section scanned the Zips sideline the whole first half looking for Rodgers, and the only #5 jersey we saw was on defense. If Rodgers was there the whole first half, he must have had his number covered because not a single person in our section could find him. I was sitting in section 110 watching him walk around with a towel around his head/neck. I know he was there weh nicely threw the pick 6 because I ws looking for him to start warming up.

How long to turn it around? What would the turn arond look like? Define winning. Why would any successful lower level coach come to Akron when they could wait it out for a better opportunity? If we hire a guy like this and it doesn't work, then what? I say enough is enough. This isn't just an issue pertaining to UofA, it reaches out to all non-bcs schools with he exception of about five. There is always some theory out there that if a MAC school just does a few things then success will follow. Long term success does not follow MAC schools....it doesn't even follow the MAC. 1. Salary increase 2. Most winning bcs programs don't fire or lose a coach. A history of turning a fcs program would go a very long way in carreer advancement. A winning coach taking over and maintaining a winning program is not as impressive as bringing a program back from the dead.

Or, creating their own division between I-AA and I-A. That's the key. It already exists...non-BCS.

The MAC should have a weekly show on STO or something. I bet they would get better viewership than some of the programming that is on there right now. Hell, the MAC's headquarters are in Cleveland so they could do it at little cost.

That was under Brookhart. I hope that Ianello's long years as a recruiting coordinator would give him the connections to find JUCo players who will actually pan out. And still, half is better than not getting any when you look at the returning talent. I don't think Notre Dame used too many juco transfers. I would hope that he is a good enough recruiter not to have to rely on them much longer. He was brought here to recruit and prove he can coach those players. Proof is in the pudding. I hope he is great at both.

The defensive line must be doing a pretty good job setting the table for all those Wagner tackles. We should be making every effort to schedule New Mexico, New Mexico State, San Jose State, and Western Kentucky in the next several years. The team should play them all away and be forced to ride an old crappy bus like Major League.

Jucos are very unreliable. About half never see the field.
