This loss was so heartbreaking for me. But the fact that we're talking about a heartbreaking loss to #11 in the country, Michigan, instead of a 40 point blowout, I'm proud to be an Akron fan. Michigan will fall so far in the poll, that it will look like Akron beat Michigan today. Well done Zips, well done!!!! Only part I can say is this: 1) FG miss at end of 1st half 2) Two times we got inside Michigan's 2 yd line and got no points(INT and Turnover on Downs). Michigan got really lucky today. I do not want to be a player on that Michigan team for the very next practice. Hoke will treat this like a loss for sure.

James Madison would of defeated Liberty by at least 20, who only loss to K.e.n.t. by 7. We will beat K.e.n.t. this year. I don't understand why everyone on here still thinks we're going to lose to them this season. We should of defeated them last year.

The MAC is 26-14 overall right now. The MAC East is 13-4 while the MAC West is 13-10. Very tough mid-major conference for volleyball. Out of the 12 schools, only 3 have a losing record right now(Bowling Green, Can't State, Central Michigan all at 1-2). 4 schools are undefeated right now(Ohio, Buffalo, Miami(OH), at 3-0..Akron 2-0) Including Ohio with a 3-0 win over #8 Oregon. Bowling Green with a 3-2 win over #13 BYU.

On a lighter note, Can't is still losing to Liberty, and are attempting a field goal to tie it at 10-10. I'm really interested what next week's comic strip for Dri Archer looks like. Especially since Archer only played 3-4 plays tonight before leaving, came out in shirt and sweats with a walking boot on. Announcers said ankle injury. Just think of this...at least we're not Can't

Two Ohio University football players arrested Didn't know where to put this, and didn't want to start a thread just for this. Hopefully putting it in the "MAC" schedule topic makes it relevant, since OU is in the MAC, and we play them every year.

Do we know of any other non-conference opponents that we're supposed to have? Do we have a bracketbuster return game?

I went to the red carpet event for the movie UNDERDOGS tonight, and during the movie, Akron football and Coach Bowden was mentioned. AND while the credits were running, it was showing players wearing Akron football shirts during a cookout. Well done, Coach Bowden and the athletic department! well done!!! They even had the starring role of the QB of Aquinas say "I know they have a good football program there, but..." during the movie... For an independent film, it was really good! The Akron mentions in the movie was icing on the cake!!

Probably since few did know about it being opened. I wasn't aware of this. Is thursday the last day as in they have practice thursday, or thursday they don't have practice? I live in Cleveland currently, and don't take summer classes, so I'm not going to come on campus, and wait around all day when I don't know the times for practice to give the parking ticket guy time to give check my car out while I wait. So if there is practice thursday, what time?
