A.J. Milwee's journey to O.C. was a very short one. He has got to be the youngest coordinator in FBS. Thinking back to last year when the staff was being put together makes me scratch my head a little bit though, since Terry was so adamant about the offense being his baby. He said on more than one occasion how important it was to have Coach Amato on staff to run the defense because Terry had his hands full with the offense. I wonder what changed? Is Coach Milwee such a hotshot up and comer that Terry promoted him to keep here a little while longer? Maybe A.J. is "just that brilliant" and O.C. is where he can be best utilized? Did Terry get a little overwhelmed handling both the Head Coach & Coordinator roles? Will Coach Bowden have more involvement now with the defense or is that still in the hands of Amato & staff? Very interesting.

Perhaps this link will help you (and any others who might actually think you know what you're talking about) realize how wrong you are. The first basketball program shows up in 21st position and 12 of the top fifty profitable programs are basketball. Hardly the biggest factor. "Click here for facts"

How did WKU come up with the dough to hire the rat? I figured the budgets for Sun Belt athletic departments were close to MAC numbers.

Just a few years ago, Western Kentucky was one of the worst D-1 programs in the country. Now they are going to a bowl game and hired Bobby Petrino for $850,000 a year. Meanwhile, Akron...

I had a Dale's on tap at B Dubs before the MTSU game. It was so good, I picked up a sixer on the way home. Very tasty APA.

The Zips will regain the Wagon Wheel in '13. It's a stone cold lock. You can bet on this game as if it's already been played.

Good post, wadszip.

Everyone who wants to hear the band a little less needs to yell "GO ZIPS!" a little louder when the band director is jamming on the cowbell. Maybe they would do that a little more if there was more participation. Personally, I could use that 3 times more and the fight song 3 fewer. The fight song works better at football games and I like the crowd participation stuff much better at basketball games. Just an idea.

The drive home is much more enjoyable after watching the Zips win. Been a while.

Perhaps you missed my statement on "rooting for Can't" back when they were making their CWS run...
-
First thing they would have to do is win tomorrow. Then wait & see what happens with the other Saturday games to see if they get the BCS invite. Thirdly, they would need to win on the big stage. Lastly, they would need to retain their coach long term. At that point, Can't could be compared to Boise or TCU. My guess is that IF they get to a BCS game they will perform a whole lot more like Cincinnati or Hawaii than the other two. Go Huskies!

#9 really impressed me. #10? Not so much.

How many games can you miss and still be a true fan? Just wondered because I thought I was a true fan but now I am questioning myself.
