  1. ZipsWin! thinks you meant to say Fausty the Snowman.
  2. I'd like to suggest these two: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/49286 http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/40058
  3. Not used to seeing a Zips recruit with this many offers. Kudos to the staff. http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p...amp;nid=5504060
  4. I'm not sure I can offer any educated scuttlebutt, but I am very curious to see how we make these numbers jibe. It certainly looks like the staff has made some very solid additions to this class here in the 11th hour and hopefully they will all fax a signed letter. I am certainly a little more at ease than I was a few weeks ago, when I was sweating like Waldo in the Hot for Teacher video.
  5. Starting it off... We are having a couple of pre game beers at Fricker's if anyone wants to join us. Go Zips!
  6. Thanks for the info Root. No, my 34 jersey has not been donated. It's currently being altered. I am replacing "WAGNER" with "IANELLO MADE ME HATE FOOTBALL".
  7. RFR44, How can I purchase a hockey jersey?
  8. I would love to overlook Ohio, but their moronic band of forum trolls won't let me.
  9. You are absolutely right. Just wondered if anyone else "witnessed" any weeping & gnashing of teeth.
  10. I guess they opened the doors a little early because there was a line outside waiting, so some of the folks who showed up at the stated time of the doors opening at 6 o'clock were still too late. I think opening the doors early was what really pissed some people off.
  11. I have to say, I didn't have the greatest feeling leaving the JAR last night. I didn't expect to witness such a dogfight with the Bulls, but after sleeping on it I feel a whole lot better. The Zips persevered against a team that came in with a great game plan, who shot lights out & built a 20 point lead. A lesser team could have folded under that barrage for the big upset loss. Kudos to Buffalo for playing a hell of a game. The point made earlier is a good one. The Zips are going to get everybody's A game from here on out. BG is going to come out swinging Wednesday night. Hopefully the Zips and 'Cats both win Wednesday to kick the atmosphere up a couple more notches for the battle for sole possession of first place. Can't wait.
  12. So, if I am reading everything correctly, the Zips are only in the running for one juco transfer? I was hoping for a couple more to plug some holes. Perhaps some on the commit list will be greyshirts, opening up another position or two?
  13. So...did everyone get their bobblehead? I entered the JAR at approximately 6:10 and was told we were too late for bobbleheads, making some of the people entering around me very unhappy and very vocal about it. We just kinda accepted the fact that we missed the boat when we heard that we needed to go up to the north end where they still had vouchers left. Sure enough, walked up there, got the voucher & redeemed it for the promo. Hopefully, everyone who was there early and wanted one ended up getting one.
  14. I am always glad to read proof that I am not the only bitter member of the venomous minority. Tonight I shall raise my glass to you, sir.
  15. Beer Advocate replaced the top 100 list with a top 250 list...and Pliny no longer occupies the top spot. Heady Topper takes over #1. Pliny the Elder tops the list on the new "Beers of Fame" list, which has different stipulations: I like the HOF list because there are fewer obscure beers and more acquirable ones. How many have you tried? http://beeradvocate.com/lists/fame http://beeradvocate.com/lists/top
  16. I am not nearly the hop head that some of these other guys are. I like a little more balance. I would suggest Brew Kettle's White Rajah and I like Blackheart & Dreadnaught from 3 Floyds. You might want to try Bells Hop Slam if you can find it.
  17. +10000
  18. What percentage of Spring game attendees will qualify for the exclusive party?
  19. Folks were braving the single-digit temperatures for the opportunity to purchase Barrel Aged Blackout Stout @ $180.00/case. Makes me feel less beer crazy.
  20. I really like that the staff is going after local kids. I would think if the ship gets turned and area players start playing a hand in that improvement, good things are bound to happen. I also remember the saying about ifs & buts...but it is rather reassuring that Coach Bowden is following through on the plan he laid out from day one. It still all boils down to winning, but I like the strategy and hopefully some of these local boys will make an impact like Cody Grice has. @Blue & Gold It would definitely ease a few of my worries about this year's small recruiting class if we could learn the status of some of last year's non-qualifiers. Thanks for continuing to ask the question.
  21. http://www.vindy.com/news/2013/jan/20/tres...-lead-a-y-juco/
  22. That hurts.
  23. Kudos to Coach Stroud. Sounds like Flossie is impressed by the change of staff and direction. Good news.
