No coach prefers losing to winning. Ianello would prefer to win. Kicking a field goal while down by 20 in the 4th quarter is not proof that he prefers to lose. It is proof that he gave up and conceded the victory. There is no justification for a move like that. I believe you play hard for the win for the entire 60 minutes. You can't explain this one away. RI is either a quitter or totally incompetent. There is no possible strategic scenario that says 3 points is the correct call in that situation. Even the most casual football fans know that. Which is something that always boggled my mind...as an athlete I was not positioned with the option (I played NAIA basketball) but given the choice, I would much rather go to a little bit of a smaller school, mid major, get a chance to play sooner and have a chance at success than go to a school like Indiana, who is never going to be competitive in the Big Ten, wait to play and then endure five losing seasons.I get you get more gear, maybe a bigger fan base, and it's a "name" school....but I will never get why borderline players choose that route. And we have lost a bunch of kids to Indiana over the last couple of years in our foot print. That HAS to change.I hate it when a kid just can't work up the nerve to admit he changed his mind because he has decided he doesn't like a teams uniforms.That can't be it. Word is he might be heading to Alabama and there ain't enough difference in those uniforms to say so.

I think there are a lot of people who are just totally fed up with the all the losing and (((unfortunately))) we are snapping at each other in our posts.If the Zips are going to ever have any success with this offense, they are going to have to get the fullback and tight ends integrated into the passing game. So far, they have mostly been used for maximum pass protection. Having Suel back should really help out the wide outs. Sconiers has definitely proven his value in Marquelo's absence and now teams have to cover both of them. I am still waiting to see A.J. Price have a breakout performance and they need to get Tyler Williams into the game plan. So far, his burned redshirt has been in vain. I am not overly optimistic that the Zips will be able to put it all together on offense this week, but I would hope to see it moving in the right direction versus the Bobcats. As others have said, without a credible passing threat, teams are going to start overloading the box to stop the Chisel and dare the Zips to throw.The offensive line continues to be a concern and the injuries make for a very thin unit.The offense must play much better if we are going to see a Zips victory tomorrow.

Next week's opposing coach would probably be Rob's best chance to win in a MAC Coach Cage Match.

The Zips must exploit every Bobcat weakness.I suggest we target these two.
