  1. Also, I liked the hot read he made there.
  2. I wonder whats up with that. I like watching him run!
  3. I guess at least we aren't BG......they lost their starting QB to a stupid trick play.
  4. Our special teams BLOWS. Nearly every punt is blocked and every return by them is long.
  5. And I didn't type eff'n
  6. Missed the god damn XP, I'd be shocked if Ball isn't gone for the season, and George's dumb fumble after the INT that led to a BG TD. We are leading, but I'm not enjoying this much so far.
  7. Great. Our best offensive players gets hurt on a eff'n play that didn't even count. That doesn't look good. We knew we had the offsides.........why on earth didn't we throw the fade like we normally do or why didn't Ball just fall down!
  8. I thought it was funny how OSU's 3rd string QB was speaking out about it. He certainly hasn't earned a dime for the U. Dude probably won't be on the team next year unless he's content with being 3rd string his whole career.
  9. I would say both mutually benefit.
  10. I wouldn't say victimless, it's tax evasion which is robbing the American people. Regardless, I'm getting the feeling you're in favor of an unregulated system, which will only result in schools like the one we root for to become more irrelevant than we already are, when in reality, we should want anything that will make the playing field more equal. I say if players want paid, take away their scholarships. Give them that dollar amount instead. Let them pay for their own room & board, meal plans, tuition, medical bills, and whatever else. They aren't going to come out anymore ahead at the end of the day. That's what getting a cost-of-attendance scholarship is. That or go overseas. People need to stop acting like their aren't options.
  11. So is funneling150k to the Bowen kid to come to Louisville ok? Apparently not per the NCAA and FBI. At the end of the day were talking about the same thing here. Paying kids huge sums of money to come to your school.
  12. I don't necessarily disagree with the ideology, but then you'd have boosters paying players 100k for an autograph to get a player to come to your school. Then we are in the same situation we are in now.
  13. Your response did not answer my question. Still waiting for your solution.
  14. So what is your solution to fix the problem? Just pay the players at blue-chip programs and create an even larger lack of parity? How are you going to determine if a program is a "blue-chip" program or not?
  15. What exactly is Akron profiting off of? Same goes for the majority of D1 schools when talking athletics. Have you seen the videos where they show walk-ons getting scholarships? Don't tell me full-ride scholarships with full-rides don't have value.
  16. I hope to enjoy watching the Zips play this week. I will enjoy watching them if we don't beat ourselves, and that should lead to a win by a decent margin.
  17. You really have watch the Browns games instead of just look at the box score to see how Kizer is really doing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe QBR is calculated solely based off of stats? I thought he looked pretty solid against Pitt. Bad against Baltimore...real bad. I don't know how much the migraine played into that though. Can't really relate. I thought he was pretty decent against Indy as well. Got rid of the ball quicker, took less sacks. I would put one INT on him, one could be him or Kasen Williams (a clear miscommunication somewhere), and then the INT at the end shouldn't be held against him really as it was a hail mary attempt. Here's why you need to watch the games: 8 dropped passes and 4 nice plays called back due to offensive pass interference. Those are not typos and that is just in the Indy game. Biggest things I want to see from him is less turnovers and getting rid of the ball quicker. He is getting zero help from his WRs and losing Coleman for a while is just rubbing salt into the wound.
  18. Frankly shocked to hear nothing of Calipari/UK yet. Everywhere he's gone he has left in trouble, if I'm not mistaken.
  19. Quite an intriguing story. I'm surprised to see the Fed's going after this, though. Need to do some more reading up on this
  20. I have been reading about Harbaugh and Meyer complaining about certain Big Ten opponent facilities. Does Purdue have the money?? Don't know, but I find it amusing that the coaches of programs literally swimming in money are the ones expecting to be catered to
  21. To be fair, Can't State is without their starting QB as well.....but yeah...they are really bad. Defense is somewhat okay for a MAC squad. What's crazy is they were a double OT MAC championship loss away from making a BCS bowl a few years ago. A true one-hit wonder.
  22. Thanks for sharing @dre22era. I'm certainly not calling you a liar so don't take this the wrong way, but I will say I find it hard to believe if that makes sense? I know hate exists, but it is hard to relate without seeing it firsthand and your story helps. I can say I don't think I've ever seen it hanging out with any of my minority friends/colleagues, but I could be wrong. Real world examples like yours helps me understand much more than blanket statements like "black people are oppressed!!"...which I really don't think I agree with on a widespread basis. @a-zip I'll admit I didn't read your long winded post, but your first sentence caught my eye. Just from following EPL Soccer occasionally, it seems to me that racism in Europe is a much bigger problem than it is in the US. The irony...... I usually stay away from political discussion but don't mind talking like an adult (which is rare in that realm).
  23. You seem to be doing quite well for yourself, even with your skin color supposedly limiting you. I know many other minorities as well doing well for themselves. I also know some who aren't. I know plenty of white people who aren't doing well for themselves and plenty who are. What are some examples of the injustices you faced while living in Akron? Are you saying you were denied entry into bars or restaurants? You say you basically have to look like Tiger Woods. What do you mean you need to look like Tiger Woods? Is being clean cut and dressed nice a bad or irrational request? As I white male I can also be denied entry into certain establishments if I'm not dressed a certain way.
  24. Don't be naive. Hate will always exist. Lets take our blinders off for a minute. I know two people who work in inner city Cleveland schools. 1 was called a white bitch. I'm sure there was no hate based on her skin color in that statement....... The other had a parent request that a kid be moved from his class because he (the teacher) is white. I could only imagine the uproar if a white parent requested that their son be removed from a class because their son had a black teacher. Racism only goes one way though right? Lets grow up and stop acting like those dweebs in Charlottesville represent America. I was taught not to stereotype. Maybe everyone acting like this is a widespread problem should have been taught the same.
  25. Didn't say you did. Just seems like you are setting the stage to discredit them.
