1. Agree regarding defense. I don't like the bend don't break. How about let's not bend at all. Biggest issue seems to be run game and short passing game, which is probably more of a reflection of the front 7, oh and, the slot corner. I never really see Brown/Dailey get beat. The did a solid job on Williams after his long YAC on the first play.
2. I believe I saw him back in the game after the injury. Hopefully I'm right.
3. Could have been better. I'd like Woody to execute better on what should be some automatic throws. He, and the offense, did come through in the clutch though. It seemed we either drove right down the field or had 3 and outs all day. No in between.
4. Agreed. We've all been saying this. Thank God they went with the most talented RB healthy on the final 2 drives. Really sealed the game and hopefully Sands is the lead back going forward. Some real nice runs by him.
Wasn't pretty, but a W is a W. Still tied for first place in the East. I was really doubting we could come out of this with a W. Just seems like blowing this one was an Akron thing to do. The offense made plays when it needed to. Props to Gladney on his TD catch. His guy was draped all over him. Props to the D for stepping up and forcing the long FG, even though part of the blame is on Buffalo for the miss, and props to the O-line/Sands for getting the first downs to close out the game. Miami(OH) up next for bowl eligibility!
