  1. Well shit. He'll be looking for a job next year after Hazell finally gets canned. I've harped on this before, but the MAC really needs to find a way to make coaching salaries at least competitive with other G5 conferences. In this case, the guy risks job security and stability for a paycheck when he will most likely looking for another job next season.
  2. I remember Rachel showing promise early in his career. I believe he tore his ACL on season, and besides that, he has been behind some nice LBs....
  3. shh..thats against this thread's narrative!
  4. Agreed. I'm pretty positive they've showed them in years past.
  5. No mention of Josh Krok, Reggie Rogers, or Gilchrist at Bowden's presser.
  6. Id expect something around 1pm for Kato. Devin Bush ‏@CoachBush23 13h13 hours ago Flanagan's signing day ceremony will be at 1pm tomorrow inside of the auditorium. Congratulations to all the young men and woman tomorrow.
  7. No LOIs in yet??
  8. Hitting our FTs and getting some hustle buckets down the stretch. Nice job Zips!
  9. that should be an and 1 for Ivey
  10. Hey @Jrship35 where are you??! I haven't seen you post since the site change.
  11. Kind of hard per that article. Hope Kato makes the decision that's best for him.
  12. I agree. It will be interesting to see how he does next season without Davis and Braverman, though. Related to Dr. Z's post...why does it feel like Rush has been at CMU forever??
  13. Hopefully another walk-on.
  14. Looks like he has narrowed it down to us and Toledo, and will make a decision tomorrow.
  15. I think I want some of the stuff you're smoking. This team isn't getting an at-large.
  16. Maybe I misunderstood and he said they are "like greyshirts". I don't know, I think my point still stands though regardless of the technicality.
  17. I get your point, I'll preface by saying I'm not completely sure on the matter, but I believe there are only a maximum number of scholarships schools can give out per year, around mid twenties. If we have 15 commits now made up of transfers and HS kids, have 5 greyshirts from the year before, that means we could only sign 5 more if the max is 25. If we lost 30 last year, we can't necessarily just give out 30 this year
  18. Board Issue: I have tried multiple posts in different thread where I have tried to post a link from twitter or ZN.o and it automatically "embeds" itself. When I go to submit the post, it takes me to a "forbidden" page and I lost everything I typed. Anyways, when looking at the size of the recruiting class, we need to keep in mind that it seems Bowden has greyshirted approximately 5 or so in every class. So a 2015 greyshirt will not count be on scholarship until 2016, which will take one scholarship away from the true 2016 recruiting class. From my general following of recruiting, it doesn't seem like this is too common of a practice. So at one point, Bowden should theoretically have a small class to "catch up" instead of greyshirting recruits every year. A recruit really would only want to greyshirt if they have nowhere else to go. Someone who immediately comes to mind that will be eligible this year is Ray Ray Smith. I don't recall who all greyshirted, but you can find the rest of the 2015 recruiting class list made by Zach here,
  19. Thanks for joining and hopefully you continue to contribute. Marcus is an absolute beast and I agree with just about everything you've said. As good of a talent as he is, I do feel like he had some character issues (on the field) for the 1st half of the season, but thought he eliminated those as the season went on. Hopefully it stays that way, because he is expected to be the leader of the D next season. Looking forward to big things from him in 2015. The Fackrell kid from USU was the lone higher graded pass rusher for G5 teams and he will almost certainly go in the 2nd round, potentially late 1st round.
  20. Not the greatest speed, but looks looks like he has good hands and can high-point the ball as well. I like this recruit as well.
  21. Picked up a commitment from Tyler Gilchrist out of Hoban. He had offers from other MAC schools. Really like this kid's tape! I've tried to post his tweet 3 times now so I give up. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1838295/highlights/305689386/v3
  22. blah. good for him.
  23. Congrats to Arkansas for getting back to .500
  24. does that necessarily mean the visit is canceled though?
