It works out perfect this year, but most commonly the MAC East in football is what the MAC West is in basketball. A 11-1 Toledo trying to get into the playoff and playing a 10-2 NIU is much preferred over the potential for playing a 7-5 MAC East champ. My only compliant would be us not being in the same pod as Ohio, as I'd like to play them along with Kent every year.

Good for the conference especially with the playoff expanding to include the highest ranked G5 conference champion. A better conference championship opponent could be the tipping point to get in.

I'm a fan of Joe as well.

Not a huge fan of our defensive rotations this year. Just seems...slow. Nobody really stepping up. and PG getting their ankles broken..not trending well so far. Also this Jackie Johnson tearing us up is a former Duquesne player.

If he only needs 8 credits to graduate and isn’t set to graduate until the spring, the U most not be offering a class he needs this semester. without knowing full details in either situation, sure seems like BS that Aziz would get cleared but not Ali. Who did he have any sort of relationship with at Cinci!?

Cam Threatt in. Disappointing two years at Akron. Played some early in 2022 due to necessity, ultimately benched. Don’t recall him playing regularly this year at all.

Leader right now maybe. It would be gross negligence not to bring in competition.

I don't like the tarped seats in prime location on the visitor sideline, but tarped sponsored seats make more money than empty seats.

3 P5 opponents, when you trade out a home game with one for an away game against a blue blood certainly doesn't happen every year. If this was Joe's first year I wouldn't even feel so strongly about it, but year 3 could very well be a make or break year. We'll have to go 5-3 in the MAC just to make a bowl game. I hope for some grace if we only win 4 or 5 games considering the circumstances, but you never know.

Yeah I generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt and like a decent amount of what Guthrie has done, but this really makes me scratch my head.

Also I’ll add this- people are free to spend their money however they’d like as well as be annoyed by the move like i am, but pulling support for the program is going to hurt the coach who has to best chance to make it respectable. I’d have to imagine this is a pure Guthrie move, so even though he hasn’t been perfect, my support for Joe Mo isn’t going to change while he’s there as pulling it only increases chances of this not working out, and if this doesn’t work out….

TBH, Miami’s schedule isn’t much different than ours. High chance they come out of that 1-3.

He said he didn’t like playing Tennessee, MSU, and Liberty last year. Can’t imagine he’s voluntarily swapping Kentucky for OSU on top of Rutgers and South Carolina on the schedule already.

Somehow missing this game for my night driving around looking for a range to save Thanksgiving and arranging delivery tomorrow doesn’t seem so bad now.

I’d rather it go to staff and recruiting budget.
