  1. It’s a walk on shoot out! Crowd is into it
  2. It’s cool how EMU does their own half time report.
  3. I don’t know the details as to why that was done, but that feels like an all time bad city leadership decision. Assuming there was a way to avoid it of course.
  4. No doubt our program is in its prime under Groce (unfortunately likely looking at a down year next year), but didn’t realize we had the best win % in the MAC since 2019..would have guessed Toledo over us with their hype every year, or maybe even Kent.
  5. The announcers said it’s a white out right at tip off, as I stare at literal sections in center court with 2 people in it.
  6. I’d bet a pretty penny they were planning to bring in a big, but Scott and Thornton were already committed (and possibly signed), then we had a chance to bring Ali back and couldn’t turn that down. Were a better overall team as a result, but it did leave a hole. Lyles does seem to be coming along slowly, but I’m not expecting much more this year than what we’re getting from him now.
  7. Loss sucks, but I didn’t expect us to go undefeated in conference play and frankly I didn’t want us to. All about the MAC tourney and I wanted us to be knocked down a peg at some point before going into it. On one hand, an upset to Miami looks bad, but I suppose I’d rather lose to them than a Kent, OU, or Toledo.
  8. Better wake up. Horrid first half aside from the hot start from 3.
  9. Haven’t made a 2 yet lol.
  10. Never been to Millett hall. I like the lighting, sort of reminds me of the Staples Center how they focus lighting on the court. But those tunnel locations couldn’t be worse.
  11. Impressive for WMU. Wonder if that half a billion total/ $50m to athletics donation they had a few years ago played a part 😉. And people still want to complain about the cost of the Info. That’s pocket change compared to anything you’d want to build today.
  12. WMU made out. Only team that has no Miami or Toledo (or even OU at that).
  13. That feels pretty big on a Saturday evening when so many other schools play that day.
  14. OU played hard, but I don’t think we played well at all as a team. With that said, still beat the spread. really does feel like we’re in a class of our own this year.
  15. Refs are just not good all around.
  16. Scott is coming along nice.
  17. Big 3 Tribble!
  18. You’d think, but we’re either too slow out of the double team or OU is playing some good defense right now.
  19. Not an ideal start. Luckily OU stinks.
  20. Okie State to OU to Bama without playing a down is quite impressive. I’d assume walk on at Bama… Edit: actually think that account is fake. It duped some media members though.
  21. Care to elaborate? Unexpected transfer out or transfer in?
  22. Feels low considering the injury situation OU is dealing with according to @Rufus . Hope we are getting over this flu bug as a team and don't have a let down after the Can't game.
  23. Wonder if Riddle is back on the table now with DePauls coach getting fired.
  24. The reality is we are still adding another 6-10 players in total, with most or all of them being transfer portal players. Still opportunity to bring it a lot more talent. QB - do we (or can we even convince) another experienced QB to come in and fight for the job? We currently technically do have one less scholly in that position group than last year. RB - I think we're OK here. Two intriguing transfers brought in and Kellom another offseason to improve. TE - Fine in my mind, but I think they bring in one more. WR - a lot of intriguing options, but nobody has really done much at the FBS level aside from Adams. Would lean towards being fine to stay put here unless you can bring in a Shocky/George/Adams type from a good P5. OL - I think this unit is at worst case an improvement over last year, but probably still a long way to go. 2 more P5 transfers a la Whigan or Seymore would be clutch. DL - Same level as last year at worst. Would bring in another DT and DE to add more depth at worst, or find another Nunnally/Jones type as best. LB - Good. CB - with Jackson bailing, want another outside corner. I think we're good at Nickel with Lewis and Thomas backing him up. Surprised Thomas didn't play more than he did last year. I thought he looked the part in the spring game. S - our least experienced unit on the team (just above TE). There are some intriguing young options, but nobody on the team has ever started a FBS game, let alone played much at this level. I think Paul Lewis is a shoe in at one of the spots, but the other is up for grabs. I'd bring in another as insurance at worst.
