I think we need to have a decent amount of concentration on JUCO guys again, more specifically defense. We are thin and weak on that side of the ball. I dont see any harm in getting some guys that can come in and play right away.
And to be clear, Hines wasnt a one year guy targeted by TB. He has planned to come here since Ianello was coach. He attended classes in Akron while sitting out last year.
Thanks Captain Obvious. I think we all have a consensus understanding that if a team from the MAC gets an at large, its because they will have dominated conference play and done well in the OOC.
I've hardly watched the Steelers much this year, but at least you get my point. Im sure Harrison and Polamalu missing time has a lot to do with that. Historically they have a great pass rushing D.
Having ultimately no pass rush will kill our already weak secondary. Team's with good pass rushes (see the steelers) help cover for a lousy secondary by giving the CB less time that he has to be on his man.
I understand the usher is just doing their job, but the people in charge should be a lot more lax on the whole being anal about seating until we actually start to fill the stadium up somewhat.
Is the any way Quincy would be let back on the team assuming he comes back to the University in the Spring? There will still be a lot of ball left to be played...
Cant finished the season strong last year, winning 5 of the last 6 (I believe). I think they are a legit team, but not quite on the level as the other top teams in the conference.
I think it is pretty understandable for fans not to want to come watch a program that has won 3 games in 3 years. The fans that attend support the Zips. I can name plenty of other reasons for a quality player to become a Zip, most importantly WINNNING
Defense, Defense, and Defense. Preferably a mix of JUCO and true freshman.
I think on offense we are pretty well set for the foreseeable future. A lot of young talent there with Pohl, Lawrence, Chisholm, Pratt, Davis, and Hundley.
ugly game. Offense couldnt ever get clicking. Defense was solid, IMO. Even though we were ran over in the second half, I feel the offense and all of their 3 and outs had a lot to do with it. We were out coached. It was clear who made the proper adjustments after halftime.
