I respect your opinion on this site, DIG, but shooting 30% from 3 is no reason to keep chucking. Everybody knows that the closer you get to the basket, the more shot % goes up. For what its worth, the Zips ended up shooting 30.7% from 3s and 29.5% from 2. Hardly a disparity that constitutes chucking 3s rather than working the ball in the paint. Talking about Diggs is pointless really. He wont be back this season, so there is no reason to keep saying "if". We have to move on a some point.

Why are we trying to be like the OU Bobcats with all of these 3s?!?!? Last I checked we are the Akron Zips, who have two mid-major impact 7 footers. Why do we not get the ball to them more??!?!? Speaking of our 7 footers.....jesus how are they rotating and both in foul trouble? The dream of the "twin towers" will never come to life if they can't play good defense.

That is true. Knocking off NC State would do wonders for us. However, I do not have as high hopes of that happening with the way the team performed at CCU. Hopefully they have improved considerably since.

Notre Dame should be alright with their new agreement with the ACC. I THINK. Edit: looking at the article again, it says that Notre Dame as a shared deal with the SEC/Big 10 opposite of the ACC champion in the Orange Bowl (pretty sure ND can even represent the ACC). So they are set up pretty nice, as expected.

scheduling the likes of Malone and Tiffin didnt seem to prepare us well for Coastal Carolina. I'll withhold judgement on how well John Carroll prepared us after we play OK St.

big question of the night: why are we playing a division 3 school?

I'm glad we didnt hire a guy who cant even win in D2 consistently. Give me the guy who shows a history of turning programs around, and winning everywhere he goes (who is also very familiar with the area) over a guy who had one dream season(record of 27-37 overall) in D2.

If you want to root for an FCS team, go root for YSU. If Akron drops (they wont), ill never attend another game.

Sure do. Even I express my dismay during games sometimes due to my want to win, I wouldnt want a coach other than Bowden. Thankful to have him!

Im not talking about a single recruit, just talking about the level of recruiting in general. I think Bowden will do fine recruiting, but its very naive to think our record has no effect on recruiting.
