This is from a Virgina newspaperWith Chapman out, the Cavaliers have 25 commitments, counting linebacker Romale Tucker from Washington, D.C., but not counting wide receiver Vincent Hill from Fort Washington, Md. It has been reported that Tucker has made a second oral commitment, to Syracuse, but he was at UVa last weekend.Hill has said he will sign with Akron if he qualifies academically; otherwise, he will enroll at Hargrave or Fork Union next summer and re-open his recruiting.

Jarvis Givins got an offer from UNC and was there over the weekend. The Zips need him for next year....

Good find but here now is two steps back. As I was walking through the Union today I saw a Zips basketball Banner. Talking about the Zips game vs. WMU saturday at 7:00pm. Opppsssss what a minute I mean 4:00pm. Oh well I guess people will find out the real time.......

I blame 80% on him and 20% on the program.There is to many places to get help on campus to flunk out. But a small part of that is the program installing some kind of system to help kids. Some of these kids come in and are behind the academic ball before they even get started. These kids need to be flagged and helped out along the process. Don't get me wrong I hope this young man gets his grades in order and can get a college degree from some university. But as a fan if he can be repalced by someone else who can get it done on the field and in the classroom, then I say give them a shot.My whole point is if he stays and does not make grades for next fall then we are short one player for next season. But if he leaves and we can sign somebody else for next year then this new person will have a chance to play.

It looks like Hill would have not been able to play for the Zips next year. He goes to prep school then he is open to any school again. Virginia has turned their backs on prep school kids before. This is better for the Zips let's replace him with somebody who has good grades......

Rivals.com is reporting that Williams is an Akron verbal. They also are saying Hill is gone.

From reading part of a new article on rivals.com Jones will pick between Pitt and Akron.I can't talk for Pitt but if Jones chooses Akron he can play right away......

I agree. But mostly all of these kids who do get an offer from Akron want ot go else where. They go to big ten or some other BCS conference school. You can not blame all of it on J.D.

There was an update on a University of Virginia Sports website called thesabre.com on Zips verbal Vincent Hill.Here is what the article was about. Thanks again to Chirs at thesabre.comIn my interview with him, he says he has set an official visit to Akron for the weekend of January 19th. He says he will make an official visit to UVa in January, but no date has been set. He says that, if he gets qualified, he will stick with his original commitment to Akron. If he has to prep, he says he will consider UVa and Akron but didn't say he would definitely go to Akron.
