It was after a kick off. Cobham was hoding on to a Miami players leg and using him as a tackling sled. The side judge was right there blowing his whistle but He did not stop. He just keep pushing him until they went out of bounds. And the offical was trying not to throw the flag but finally he had to.
-
If I was the coach Cobham would have been in the locker room for therest of the gane after that stupid play. The only way to get control is to bench their asses. And if they quit then guess what see ya!!!!!!

From Cantonrep.comGAMBLE GETS BIG TEN OFFERMassillon running back and safety Brian Gamble said he received his first Big Ten offer last week from Illinois Head Coach Ron Zook. Gamble is exactly the kind of player Zook is rebuilding the Illini program with. If not for classroom issues when Gamble was a freshman, he’d be a major Big Ten recruit.“I’m taking a correspondence class right now to make up for that,” Gamble said. “Right now, I’ve got offers from Illinois, Toledo, Akron, Ball State, Eastern Michigan and Ohio University.”Reach Repository sports writer Todd Porter at (330) 580-8340 or e-mail: From Scout.comThe Kirk Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge gave an abundance of players the opportunity to shine on the National stage against the highest levels of competition. Athlete Brian Gamble made the most of his opportunity and led Washington High (OH) to an upset over a highly ranked Chandler Hamilton squad (AZ). Of all the players that made a difference in the outcome of a game on that weekend none may have had a bigger performance that Brian Gamble, a 6-foot-0, 190-pound athlete from Washington High in Massillon, Ohio. Gamble led his team all over the field helping to secure a 35-20 victory over Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton, who was ranked 13th nationally. In the game Gamble rushed for 159 yards, had a touchdown reception, completed a 66 yard pass, and led his team on defense slowing the potent Hamilton attack. Gamble, who already holds offers from Akron, Ball State and Eastern Michigan, has been receiving some strong interest since the September 1st contact period, and discusses the game and the recruiting process in a video interview. Post-Game Video Interview with Brian Gamble Watch VideoAs a junior, Gamble put up some astonishing numbers. On Defense, he racked up 106 total tackles (73 solo) and three interceptions. On offense, he ran the ball 248 times for over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns and added an additional 650 yards and four touchdowns by hauling in 60 receptions earning All-Ohio, All-Conference, and All-County honors for his performanceSource

So you Want Akron to have true Fan support
zff replied to Mr.McChickenTrousers's topic in Akron Zips Football
I believe Illinois just offered him and if he gets his grades in order I would expect bigger schools to offer. But I still would like to see him in the Blue and Gold. -
Great Post Ballingirl!!!! I rest my case. This quote from a great movie proves my point "Attitude is a reflection of leadership, Captain."Somebody associated with this team better start kicking some asses into shape. Or they will not win another game this year..........How you can go from MAC Champs to shit in one year I will never know.

Who is the leader of this team? Maybe the better question is do we have a leader on this team. I saw a team today that was unstoppable the frist 3 and 3/4 drives. Leading 14 - 0 and with a 2 and from the Bearcat 19 yard line. And then after three straight runs the Zips crumbled like a stale cookie. Where was the leader to pick the offense up? They were playing with total confidence and precision and then I trun over on downs and that was it. Total crap play from that point on. Is #16 the leader of this team? I think not. He justs a little heat on him and he turns into a school girl. Happy feet in the pocket getting rid of it as soon as he can. But your saying ZFF you are stupid he lead are Zips to a title last year. No the Zips beat bad teams at the end and had some games go there way. And then beat a soft NIU defense for the title. Back to the topic. So are there any leaders on offense. I would say no! At least none that seem willing to speak up. The Zips should have hands down beat Cincinnati by 3 or 4 touchdowns today. It is time for somebody on offense to stand up and take control of the team. Or maybe a defenseive player can play the role if nobody else will.
