  1. J.R. Eskilson tweeted that Emmanuel Sabbi scored for the u-20 team today. Well done, future zip. tweet from Eskilson: Emmanuel Sabbi with the opener for the U.S. Sabbi punched in a corner kick, but Fulham answers back immediately. 1-1 18’
  2. thanks to ME87 for the heads up that this was coming out today....congratulations to Darlington and DeAndre http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2016/03/20/17/31/160320-mnt-klinsmann-calls-26-players-for-world-cup-qualifying-matches-against-guatemala?sf22867433=1

  4. 2 items.....Travis Clark posted on his twitter....that you can see Emmanuel Sabbi and his under 20 teammates by going to dallascup.com .@dallascup announces all three U.S. U20 MNT games will be streamed on http://dallascup.com . 2nd - congrats to Wil Trapp and Dillon Serna http://sbisoccer.com/2016/03/morris-green-miazga-headline-u-23-usmnt-squad-for-olympic-playoff
  5. Indeed, quite an honor for Emmanuel. I am looking forward to seeing Emmanuel and his friend and Chicago Magic teammate...Jesus Perez work their magic along with 9 other zips next fall. I have not looked to see where we will able to watch the Sunday game online. Travis Clark tweeted that the u-20 game will be streamed live on Sunday. .@dallascup announces that games will be streamed live again, including the U.S. U20 MNT vs. Monterrey on Sunday.
  6. Emmanuel Sabbi is mentioned again in this article. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-articles/dallas-cup:-us-u20-mnt-players-to-watch_aid38982
  7. I think Wadszip might have been asking about this young man....on the u-20 team John Nelson (Internationals SC; Medina, OH), if you were, John Nelson is a high school junior....and he is the #1 rated high school junior. From what I have read, Nelson wants to play in Europe as soon as he is done with high school. The top 7 or 8 ranked players in the country have all been bypassing college. This year, Emmanuel Sabbi is ranked #11 or #13 (depending on ranking) and he is the 3rd highest ranked player that will be attending college.

  9. that looks like a championship group.....even though I was no where close to identifying the 21 players and the team manager correctly add in an Emmanuel , a Jon, a Nicolas, an Alex, a Marcel, a Reggie, a Jesus, and a Tor....and I am looking forward to watching this team play some great soccer and ME87....was kind enough to tell me in a note that Niko De Vera, Tyler Sanda and Adi Dakwar were not in the photo above.....add Niko, Tyler and Adi and the new recruits and hopefully that group of 32 players will be providing great soccer all the way to Houston in December go, Zips

  14. best article that I have seen about Perry and his new team. I will always remember the poise, the composure, the instincts and the toughness that this young man showed for the Zips in 2010. Perry will always remembered as a gigantic reason why the zips got their first star. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2016/03/11/perry-kitchen-looks-to-find-recipe-for-success-at-hearts/
  15. Sinneh Kamara was announced by the Columbus Crew academy.......as someone that would be coming to Akron.

  17. nice photo of Jonathan Lewis....that was posted to zips mens soccer twitter. Welcome to Akron, Jonathan....Looking forward to watching you at Cub Cadet Field in the fall.
  18. http://nesoccertoday.com/?p=41060 I hope that Scott....got a nice pay raise. Glad he gets to play near where he grew up.
  19. they just don't show Victor in the article because they only list players who were selected All-MAC. The biased MAC coaches did not select Victor as one of the best 22 players in the conference. Can you say travesty? joke? laughable? I think top drawer listed Victor as the 20th best player in the country. ZipsNation is certainly glad to have Victor on our team. Great student athlete.......and I hope that a 2nd star is in the future for Victor and Akron soccer.
  20. http://www.goal.com/en-ca/news/4175/major-league-soccer/2016/03/02/20926592/sources-darlington-nagbe-signs-new-deal-with-portland well deserved new contract.....for young Mr. Nagbe and I just read an article.....that Portland vs. Columbus will be televised on espn at 4:30 on Sunday

  22. http://www.oregonlive.com/timbers/index.ssf/2016/03/diego_valeri_darlington_nagbe.html hard to believe that Darlington and Wil will be matching up on Sunday....seems like the season just ended Does anyone know if the Timber-Crew game will be televised on Sunday?
  23. http://www.stumptownfooty.com/2016/2/29/11135706/should-the-timbers-be-looking-at-darren-mattocks
  24. http://www.gozips.com/general/2015-16/Releases/2015_Dean-s_List.pdf?preview=true Congratulations to some true student athletes. The list above.....shows the soccer zips that made the deans list for spring 2015 and fall 2015 listed as making the deans list (above 3.50) are Robbie Dambrot, Dener Dos Santos, Jake Fenlason, Ezana Kahsay, Nate Shultz, Andrew Souders, Victor Souto and Shane Wiedt. 3 zips have an asterisk by their name...indicating a 4.0 GPA....Tyler Sanda, Danilo Radjen and Adam Najem. Great job by all of these young men. They will be honored at halftime of the basketball game against Can't State.
