Unrelated to transfers or the 2021 roster....I also liked this tweet from the new AD He has learned quickly about the great Akron soccer tradition nice to see an athletic director excited about the school's sports (yes, Larry the Lawyer....I am taking a shot at you !!!)

my guess is that we will see a news release about our new players on August 10th (the first day that Jared, Ger and Michael can coach the players) Credit to the new athletic director for letting the fans know when the women's coach and men's coaches can work with the players

BGSU released their schedule today... they play at Akron on October 23...which is not the reverse of what happened in 2019 if I am reading the BG schedule correctly, they host Georgia State on October 7 and Georgia Southern on October 9 we know that Akron hosts Georgia Southern on October 7.....Will Georgia State want to stay in Ohio and play the zips on October 9 or October 10? personally, I do not like having only 2 days between matches (not enough time for the players to recover). Akron is really going to have a great RPI next year if they are able to win games. On September 21, Akron will play at Marshall (the defending national champion) what we know so far...regular season home games against Indiana and Penn State. did not know about soccer almost being cut there.... Coach Grassie, Coach Porter and Coach Embick deserve a ton of credit for competing against the big guys I will always root for schools like Marshall and Akron

Very nice post by one of the 6 young men that will transfer to Akron BTW, in the first 11 regular season games for Harcum, Ryan Kingsford had 19 goals and 14 assists Zips nation....is very glad to have Ryan Kingsford as part of the Zips family.

zippyfan34...that is a good find on this year's roster, Daniel Strachan shows as a senior...and Diogo Pacheco shows as a redshirt senior I have attached below the 2018 roster...where Daniel shows as a sophomore...and Diogo showed as a redshirt sophomore in fall 2017, Daniel showed as a freshman..so Daniel played fall 17, fall 18, fall 19 and spring 2021. due to covid cancelling the fall 2020 campaign, will Daniel and Diogo be able to come back for another year in fall 2021? Pol and Marco played 3 years for Akron...will they get to play for 1 or 2 years at new school?
