  1. Something seems to be happening out there, as the line is down to 17.
  2. It's definitely been a nice start to the season for the Warriors, but Paul would be the 1st to admit that their true tests (at LO's Ashland in 2 weeks, and at Hillsdale the week after that) still await. I think it's clear that he's been gearing up for this season. He's even getting a little help from a a Red & Silver transfer. They lost their leading rusher last week due to injury, so we'll see if they have the depth to win the GLIAC and/or make a run in the D-2 playoffs.
  3. B&G, it is on. I do believe he just Price-is-Righted your a$ CAREFUL! I couldn't find the clip sans the F-bomb! That's hilarious! I've watched the show plenty, but have never seen that clip. Outstanding.
  4. 7-48 if Nicely starts?
  5. B&G, it is on. I do believe he just Price-is-Righted your a$$
  6. FIU 38 UA 24
  7. CNNSI Story I think this highlights just how difficult it's going to be for 40, 56, 64, or whatever number of teams to effectively break away from the pack and form another division or organization. Five years ago, would you have put TCU in the "super-conference"? I'm starting to think that the whole super-conference thing has been overhyped, and the college football landscape, while certainly different, will nonetheless avoid undergoing a major, structural change.
  8. Carbon Nanotube (CNT) research at UA
  9. Gaffney article on how "The Chisel" fell to the Zips.
  10. Tough loss, but they'll bounce back.
  11. The PD article says he's a senior. The 6-3 senior completed 28 of 44 passes for 469 yards and three touchdowns, and had 84 yards rushing with two TDs rushing. Let's hope SMU and Hawaii don't find him first. Scout Profile ESPN coverage of last game
  12. Good choice for the warm weather. I know you won't have much trouble finding people to help you eat them! While I don't have a marinade recipe (I usually just go with a feel), I would suggest any recipe that has olive oil, lime juice and hot pepper as a gage. I'm going with chicken/veggie fajitas myself.
  13. Os his health in question? I thought he was back 100%. Looks like he was limited to WR duty against Duke.
  14. Some wagering money on the Zippers appears to be shifting the line slightly. I wonder if there has been some news on TY Hilton to cause this?
  15. Jabari coming into his own for the CFL's Calgary Stampeders.
  16. As much as I like "the Chisel", his numbers are bound to suffer with Bice and Kasparek out (although it's not as if he's had huge holes to run through in the 1st place). I think defenses are going to start keying more on #44, and with a weekened O-line unable to protect LR8 it could leave the Zips with few options on offense.
  17. I caught most of the 1st segment and am recording the entire program. I agree. Like just about all of Ken Burns' productions, it is an in-depth account of a fascinating story. Now I just need to block off some time to watch the rest!
  18. I think you have to use every angle you can. According to his Rivals profile, he doesn't have any firm offers yet. But he's only a junior and plenty of "name" programs appear to be showing interest. Unfortunately, he looks like a much better "spread" prospect on the surface.
  19. Isn't a good/great/respected running game supposed to open up an easy passing game? I'm also liking "The Chisel" nickname, I now use different words for Lone Ranger for LR8...low rate(d)8™. Whatever you do, DON'T look up the stats for RG3 (Robert Griffin III)......they'll depress you even further
  20. More PD coverage of "The Chisel". He's now up to #16 nationally in rushing yards.
  21. Why is that a shocker? VMI (terrible 1-AA team) running backs averaged 5 yard/carry against us. Ohio State's 4th and 5th stringers were pushing 100 yards against the Zips. Temple and Cincinnati's RB's were in sweat pants in the second half of our games. Our run defense is terrible. That's been a big disappointment this year. Not that this would make a big difference, but I noticed in the box score that Bre Ford didn't play on Saturday. I have enjoyed watching him in run support. Did anyone else notice during the VMI game when it looked like he may have broken his own helmet on a hit? Hopefully he's back on Saturday. Apparently, that's not going to happen according to the latest depth chart. Maybe Bre is injured. I'll try to see if iCoach makes any comment tonight. I see Kasparek is also off of the depth chart.....injury here too? Fox is listed as the starting PK for both kickoffs and field goals/extra points. Those were the changes that stood out to me.

  23. Of course there are many versions of the Spread. A "Spread Option", similar to the one EMU just used to beat the Zips, is basically what OU runs most of the time.
