  1. IF TRUE, these are the guys: John Hauser Trent Boykin Hauser has MAC ties (NIU) and Boykin was a GA here at Akron after starring at YSU as a player. Both would help in recruiting the MAC footprint and specifically Detroit. If this happens, I think this would this mean that some of the other rumored candidates are not going to be here. It would be a somewhat bizarre turn of events for sure.
  2. Here is a nice article on Zeke from Zac Jackson at FoxSportsOhio.
  3. Do they still have that incredible carrot cake there? It's the best I've ever had
  4. Welcome to ZNO! Nice! I think you could even go with a matte "old gold" helmet with either of these. I really like the shoulder stripes
  5. I'm a fan of the new matte helmets that have popped up around the country. I agree, a blue version would look nice, even with an all blue uni. Here is Minnesota's maroon matte helmet look:
  6. Make the move, Coach Bowden! You won't regret it.
  7. I noticed that during Frenchy's post game, too. This is what will eventually "do in" Coles.
  8. Buffalo 66 K.E.N.T. 65 Woo-hoo!!!
  9. I think we'll look back at this as a key point in the season, because it's the 1st close win of the year. This team NEEDED to show they could win a game like this. Zeke will have better offensive numbers down the road, but it's great to see him still making a difference at a key point in the game on a night when he wasn't scoring much. Go Zips!!!! Keep it going!!
  10. Are you sure about that? He's already rated 999 of 187 cornerbacks
  11. Hargrave Military Academy LB Darryl Waters commits to the Zips. Scout profile
  12. Scout profile shows great size. Dr Z has a good question since it looks like he was originally recruited as a WR. The 'meister will think we stacked 2 CBs together to "create him" if he ends up playing defense
  13. Just kidding, of course I really enjoy your commentary!
  14. Are you speaking in the 3rd person?
  15. But sticking with CK's point, the size of the backs I've seen in these 3 back sets are generally not what you see in a traditional fullback (like Rossi). I really like the idea of switching Rossi to linebacker, the position for which he garnered offers from Temple and WVU. I might wait and see with Alexander since we'll likely need a lot of depth at RB. Tyler Williams would probably be either a RB in the 3 back sets or a slot WR in the 4 and 5 wide sets.
  16. Already posted here.
  17. Can you provide confirmation of Goodman's status? He's always been a VERY intriguing prospect to me.
  18. Nice article on Darren in The Jamaica Observer
  19. News-Herald Story on Nicely We all know what skip-zip will say, but I wouldn't rule out PN7 completely. The 2010 game at Indiana always sticks in my mind. It was the only game I recall under Ianello where the gameplan was to come out firing. IMO PN7 needs to establish a rhythm to have a chance at success. He did that night in Bloomington (fun game to witness BTW) and it's no coincidence that he probably had his best game as a result. If Coach Bowden throws it as much as we think, this could play in PN7's hand. Of course, if they bring in another JUCO QB, the new guy will probably be the favorite to start.
  20. FootballScoop is reporting that Pat Narduzzi will wind up as Kevin Sumlin's DC at Texas A&M. What a business!!
  21. I'm as anti-"red & silver" as they come, but I don't see how this article hurts or marginalizes Zip football in any way, shape, or form.
  22. Check out the paragraph titled "WISHING ON A STAR" near the bottom of this blog.
