  1. It does overshadow everything. If Finley isn't back and Brayden Roggow isn't able to play at a high level (Tahj is what he is), Akron isn't beating anyone on their schedule, and that OSU money will be overshadowed by the team drawing 1300 fans again for late season games because...who wants to see a 0-10 MAC team with no hope (again) on a Tuesday?
  2. And yet, completely on brand
  3. If Finley is hurt for any length of time, just go with Roggow. Tajh is only useful in the two QB set (which may legitimately work OK against lesser competition, based on what we saw today).
  4. Gonna need multiple QBs when you schedule three money games to get everyone ground to a pulp.
  5. Yes, I am legitimately feeling better. Akron could really get 3 or 4 wins this year. And then Finley runs out of bounds four yards short of first down on 4th and 5. So maybe not.
  6. I don't know if that's a disrespect decision - 42 isn't a gimme for a college kicker that doesn't play for the Zips.
  7. OK...I can admit when I'm wrong. So far, this Akron team looks different.
  8. They did, there was a 15-yard penalty on that play.
  9. I hope the payday was worth having your "QB that couldn't actually play for a 6-7 Pac 12 team" give you one whole play. (edited for grammar)
  10. It should...but why should I get mad at a perennial 2-10 (in a good year) team that isn't really showing any prospects of improving on that mark?
  11. 3-10 in one-score games means they're really good at finding ways to lose. Doesn't feel generally competent to me. I do understand your general optimism with how things are looking down the line. I don't share it for a second because they're 7-47 in their last five seasons, and Moorhead's win percentage is marginally above Arth's (and exactly the same as Arth's last two seasons). I do acknowledge that I could be wrong and they really are on their way to being average.
  12. Just general competence. Any level of competence would be nice. Haven't had that yet under Joe. I mean, "better QB" is nice...but he's also a twice transferred QB who's 2-6 in games that he played substantial snaps. That's the number of wins I expect this year, so...
  13. 2-10 tops. Maybe. Absolutely no progress to show there should be any hope for more than this. Colgate and one MAC upset win. And neither is a guarantee; Colgate was 6-5 in FCS last year, so that's probably a coin flip game.
  14. Hope he's right. I see a 2-10 team (at best) again until proven otherwise.
  15. I have been to the Shoe for a band show, and...that place is so cramped. I think it'd be a miserable experience with 100K people there. It's reasonably dilapidated, too, so there's not really much to it other than "hey now I can say I was at the Shoe."
  16. There's certainly not much evidence to the contrary.
  17. Looks like a 50/50 game with a 6-5 (2023) FCS team and probably a 50/50 at Kent. So 2-10 is the ceiling again. With their crack marketing team, I'm sure they'll get dozens of people to come out for this.
  18. Cavs HC is TJ's uncle.
  19. Probably could get them fairly cheap, just gotta contact all the MLB/NBA/NFL teams to get their stuff from 2020 out of storage.
  20. So from my prior comment - it's definitely "unwilling." This is just dumb.
  21. They're either unable or unwilling to compete in FBS. FCS is the only logical solution.
  22. Well good on them. Hopefully they can build on this
  23. I mean, you can ask
  24. I can come up and pee on the walls, but that's about it
