  1. Working hard and working smart are two different things....
  2. Hopefully you didn't bet anyone in the athletic department, cause they will jack up prices for everyone to make that $20.00.
  3. That is not acceptable and never will be. To steal a line from the AK-Rowdies "THAT'S ERRONEOUS ON ALL ACCOUNTS!"Actually, I believe you stole the line from the American classic "Wedding Crashers" "Erroneous! Erroneous! Erroneous on both accounts!" Ha-Ha-Ha! Very true! But I am going to stop beating a dead horse! Tell Andy we are all proud of him and are hoping for great things from him in the NFL and beyond. I have one request! If he ever makes it in a starting line-up for a Monday Night Football game and he introduces himself he has to say "Andy Alleman - THE University of Akron"Also if he gets drafted by the Browns, I am going to have to meet up with your dad and have some of his amazing Chili!
  4. Get over what? The fact that a University of Akron Zips football player who is preparing to be drafted to the NFL is publicly singing praise to a school other than his own. NO! That is not acceptable and never will be. To steal a line from the AK-Rowdies "THAT'S ERRONEOUS ON ALL ACCOUNTS!"
  5. I love your brother but his quote on www.clevelandbrowns.com really was a punch in the face to Zips fans.Quote:Massillon Washington High School grad and Akron University guard Andy Alleman's stock appears to be rising after a solid time in the 40-yard dash at the combine. He said he'd love to stay in Ohio for his pro career."It would feel great," he said. "I was born and raised in Ohio. If it's college, you're a Buckeye fan. The pros, a Cleveland fan. It'd be a great opportunity. I'd be happy wherever I go but Cleveland would be a great place to be."http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/article.php?id=6545That is just wrong!
  6. Thats horrible that you have to pay an extra $20 for for the pregame party, and at the practice facility. Talk about a fun place to have it! I bet it is cash bar also. Can anyone say robbed?
  7. So if Akron would have made a better percentage of their free throws they would probably be undefeated is what I get from that!
  8. Great Post! Thanks for the information! It is good to see that there is no drop off and that the soccer team will have the talent to match the successes of Ken Lolla's clan of merry men!Great Job Caleb and Go Zips!
  9. Vincent Hill signed at Akron today and a total of 22 recruits signed overall thus far
  10. The "New Regime" has nothing to do with the stadium. Mike Thomas and Luis Proenza were the driving forces for the new stadium not this administration.
  11. This is progress huh? This is nothing more than a slap in the face to zips fans. A piece of $h!T promotions page with links that don't work. I bet they spent less than five minutes on this. Me -------> <------- Marketing Department!
  12. Ha-ha! Wait....Seriously?
  13. Doing the best they can?? If this is the best they can do then they need to quit and go find a new career. I don't care if they are relatively new. They are only relatively new to this area. Reading the profiles on the administration you got Mack from UTEP and Hunter is from Virginia, they better have had some experience before they were put in the position they are currently. How hard is it to advertise in the paper?? Not hard I am sure I mean if the owners of the strip clubs can figure it out I am pretty sure the highly regarded and sought after administration can do it!!
  14. Letters are always a good way to show frustration and to be heard!
  15. Hey, thanks for being specific! What the hell is dollar night? Another way to whore out athletics programs?
  16. What student wants to have follow 7500 rules to come and watch a basketball game???? None that I know of. I will be in GA with AK-Zips, RowdyZip and Balki! I bet we can make more noise then the rowdies! In fact I bet some of the rowdies join us by the end of the game. Wear Akron gear, be loud, help the team win, that is the goal, those should be the rules! They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but it appears that it can be desrtoyed in one!
  17. Yes it would, but I am sure our marketing department thought of that already. oh wait!
  18. From what I hear they are releasing five games at a time to purchase the seats downstairs without having to pay the million $$ donation. Also the seats that seem to be open behind the visiting team bench are not. Those seats are given to the visiting team to use as they want.
  19. The worst part about that link is that if you go to free throw percentage Akron is not in the top 100. That could kill come conference and tournament play.
  20. No. It is a paraody and we are not marketing it for profit. I think we are safe on this one.Oh, and we DID get it right! Interesting! You show a link that shows that BF Goodrich, NOT Goodyear which is on the back of the shirt, was the designer of the overshoe. So you DIDN'T get it right! And AK-Zips, I agree with Zip N' Dots on this one. You sound kind of flaming, I am sure you would enjoy giving a good tea-bag ever now and thenActually, where the misunderstanding occurs is that you must think I am a part of the Rowdies and had something to do with the shirts...and I am not and do not. Ok, you're right. I made the claim that you designed the shirts. I mean I called you out and said you FeartheRoo designed the shirts and made the mistake. Gimme a break. We were having the conversation about this before you even joined the thread.
  21. I think you miss understood my post. Go back and reread the post. If you understand commas at all you will see that I never said Goodyear was the originator of the overshoe.I said the shirt had Goodyear on the back instead of BF Goodrich.
  22. Dude, I am pretty sure everyone on here knows it's BF Goodrich. Call the Athletics staff. They are the idiots. I think you must have miss understood a post on here somewhere.
  23. No. It is a paraody and we are not marketing it for profit. I think we are safe on this one.Oh, and we DID get it right! Interesting! 24. If everything stays on course. CMU or WMU will be playing Can't State or Ohio in the MACC. Win or lose a Michigan team will play in the Motor City Bowl. Ohio/Can't State will play in the International Bowl and I am sorry but NIU is going to the GMAC if bowl eligible. The GMAC is notorious for taking the team that has the star studded/big name player, they did it last year taking Toledo with Gradkowski, instead of waiting for the loser of the MACC like they were suppose to. Which means 2 of the top 4 teams will be going home and watching the bowl games with the Zips! There is an outside chance that the MAC gets a 4th bowl which will be the Birmingham Bowl but again that is an outside chance. Too many things have to go right or wrong, however you want to look at it, to get that Bowl game. But there will still be two teams at least ahead of the Zips for that one. No Bowling for the Zips this year! Hopefully JD can get better leadership and play next year from his boys!!
