He has no help from his receivers(see Bowser pulling a Braylon Edwards in the first half) or his o-line(see the 0.3 seconds he has after the snap before the pocket collapses). There is a reason he was second string behind Jac.I'm just saying, i've played my share of football competitively and i can tell you that Rodgers doesn't have the arm right now to compete at this level. Someone either made a HUGE recruiting error or Matt is playing hurt.

I think a few people warned everyone about Barley House. They honestly suck. The OBC (if they have the station) is the only place ive ever been to in Akron besides Tap House that actually puts on the Zips games.

How can anyone honestly talk up Rodgers after witnessing that mess for two straight weeks? He is far from the reason we are losing but he certainly should not be starting. And i think that this is one time where the backup truly is more qualified for the job. Nicely is a future star, he has the intangibles, the size, and arm to be a D1 QB, Rodgers would be a backup to Carlton Jackson.

NICELY...no more Rodgers. He cannot handle this level of play, he isn't talented enough to hit a receiver in the chest from 6 yards away when wide open. He missed his target on a play like that THREE times today! That's embarrassing.

We shouldn't be taking it out on Rodgers, he can't help that he sucks. The fact is, he shouldn't be in the game. He has the passing arm of a pee wee football QB. In fact I know i'm better myself in terms of accuracy and throwing the ball. Maybe some changes need to be made in the coaching staff, i'm not sure, what i am sure about is that Matt Rodgers is not a D1 QB, he just isn't.Now regarding Zeke, i think he will be just fine. He has the talent and size to impact games right away, if he doesn't it's understandable since he is new to D1 basketball. When he's in his 3rd year in the program and still failing, then yes he might get blasted a bit.

My hope also. From the very little I've seen of him, I still believe Devoe has the ability to gain impressive ypc. I hope he impresses us all tomorrow. GO ZIPS!!EXACTLY...we need more playmakers on offense. I would love to see Devoe actually get the freaking ball when it's not garbage time. And Andre Jones should at least be returning kickoffs, then he could rest while we are on offense (4 plays) and then be rested enough to play defense again. To not have him on any special teams is a shame.

BTW, no one should be endorsing ANYONE to get a MAC. We do not need to be hipsters like Can't Staters, i'll stick to my normal priced "ugly" computer that can actually play games.

I dont know if those were the only HS bands that you guys could get to come but besides Green HS, those were some poor selections.Seeing most of the 2 bands on the right side of the field not playing or pretending to play was quite sad. Just a recommendation to whoever invites the bands: Try inviting Wadsworth, Dover, etc... There are bands out there who are actually not too bad for being high school.

Not that we can know right now, but what if Nicely gives us a better chance to win the MAC than Rodgers does, why redshirt him? What are we waiting for? Just look at CJ11 and Rodgers, they are both undersized compared to Nicely and neither have the talent that's for sure. I can't help but agree. When I was driving through Mentor the other day, I recall commenting to my wife how amazing it is that all of the houses are mansions, the streets are paved with gold, and diamonds grow on trees. Truly the beverly Hills of NE Ohio.And I also must agree that if your parents do have money, regardless of who you are, surely they would hand it over when you told them your pot supply was running low. I have friends in college that you wouldnt have any idea that they come from wealthy families. Do you think rich people get rich by spending money wildly? Alot of them try to teach their kids that by not giving them loads of cash to spend as allowances and a few of my friends were like that. You would never have guessed they lived in million dollar houses in Bath because their parents let them be college kids like college kids should. They ate Ramen noodles daily and drank cheap beer.So who knows if Jacq is from a rich family or not, either way it doesnt matter.

I would have to say that i would rather him have been smoking pot than stealing things.Doing something that isn't destructive to anyone else is one thing, but doing something like that to your teammates is just wrong.

What about that punt that appeared to clearly hit an Indiana LB and then recovered by the Zips? Anybody take a look at that on video?I was also curious about that punt. I honestly can't say I saw it hit an IU player, but I had been distracted during that entire play. I would imagine it was at least worth a review from the booth. It seemed like a big play that could be detrimental to IU was never reviewed, but Akron's interception by their own goal line for instance was reviewed. I call biased officiating based solely on those two plays.If that ball didn't hit a WHOsier than i must be going crazy. The play was right in front of me and im very sure it did.

I have been in lot 34 for both games and have not seen anyone ticketed. The biggest problem is the attempt to tone down the student sections at all sporting events. You have no idea how many times i have been told to "shh" or "quiet down" when ive heckled or harassed an official or player. This is college sports im talking about, i dont think people get it. Whether it's basketball, soccer, or football it's the same thing. What really made me mad yesterday is some usher having the nerve to tell me to "lay off Matt Rodgers" as i was booing him everytime he walked off the field after throwing an INT. If the guy makes bone headed plays im gonna let him hear it. I just dont understand the University's lack of marketing for big games and i dont understand all the damn rules. Why cant we go out and have fun like a normal college without being harrassed or commented on everytime we try to?

Good post. It's not even that they will not want to see it. They may go if tickets are free. They will not spend their hard earned money to watch a bad product...that's the real problem.Id watch Zips football for 20 dollars a game even if they were the worst team in the nation (see:Can't State Football).I could care less about the buckeyes or anything else, i just love watching Zips football.

The Zips man handled St Louis. This wasn't like Friday night, the Zips were in complete control today and looked like a far superior team. That sure did get rid of the "bad taste" from that football game.

How many of these team have won a Super Bowl since leading the trend?TB, and Baltimore both won super bowls doing that.

I'm sorry, you put Jacquemain in that game and we probably win or come close to it. Rodgers was our defense and our offense's worst enemy. Another thing, and exactly what alot of you are saying, WHY THE HELL IS DEVOE NOT PLAYING MORE?!? Alex Allen has some talent but Shuford has no business being in the game right now so if you are going to split up the carries, then give the damn ball to Torrence. The guy is a freak athletically, there is a reason he was one of the top rated athletes in the country! Give-him-the-ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You couldn't have said it better!I'm actually a big Jacq fan and maybe it's more because i just like the guy, but Rogers in this game might play to our advantage. Think, Indiana hasn't seen much of him because he really just hasn't played all that much. Also, he might be just what this offense needs in terms of a playmaker QB. I personally am a bit excited.
