  1. that is the greatest gamertag of all time akronzipsbetch.
  2. yeah it's going to be great....hope everyone makes it out and hopefully the NCAA doesn't move the contest due to snowy conditions in northeastern ohio.
  3. i hope the NCAA office burn to the ground
  4. it's up just go to the mens soccer, then scroll down to their schedule then click watch next to the Akron game....easy as that.
  5. thank god, i guess i will be sitting with my laptop at a thanksgiving dinner. Hope that isn't too disrespectful to anyone.
  6. man was their offense rolling the last 2 games or what?!
  7. nice, but remember, when the blind try to stab at the heart, they oft end up stabbing someone in the back.In other words, do you know what you are talking about, and do you know how motivated the zips have been, or are you just taking pot-shots?If you think the Zips in any way could have been the least bit motivated, you didn't witness any of the last two games. They didn't want it very much. That's why they lost, plain and simple.
  8. why would i care about a football program that chokes and blows a great opportunity? I'll care more in a few months when the stadium starts to come together a little more. Then i will be a bit more excited for next year. Plus there are plenty of other Zips sports to care about. For one the soccer team is doing something special, the basketball team is as always being steered in the right direction by a great coach, and i personally have just started a club baseball team at Akron. After holding tryouts for that last month and now officially existing as a club, I am looking to do more along the lines of what KD does rather than what JD does.
  9. im a bit shocked to tell you the truth....what just happened today?!
  10. I just did today with a bunch of friends. It's called backyard tackle football and it's called being a man.on another note, i wont be able to make the trip to northwestern sadly....due to a prior thanksgiving arrangement. Hope all the other rowdies and alums can hold it down there and make the trip. We need to be as rowdy and obnoxious as ever to the NCAA and northwestern. Let's hope for a 4-0 victory or better and just rub it in.
  11. 5sports@newsnet5.com, baskin@newsnet5.com, brooks@newsnet5.com, robak@newsnet5.comcopy and paste those into an email and email newschannel five what you think.'Maybe if enough of us email all of their sports people we can get some coverage of this.I already have sent one explaining our case.
  12. keep sending emails and make sure we flood their lines with calls on friday. Make them regret doing this.
  13. i agree completely, i think they all are a bunch of sissies for not just manning up and playing on the field. I saw Lee Jackson and it's not THAT bad. I've played highschool football/pee wee football on worse.
  14. "I know a lot of you are angry. You should be. D'Ann Keller is the men's soccer championship representative at the NCAA. E-mail her at dkeller@ncaa.org. The representative for issues regarding the rules is Teresa Smith (tksmith@ncaa.org). The phone number is (317) 917-6222."from Rasor's blog....anyone call that number?
  15. it's a bunch of bullshit. I'm about to drive to Indianapolis and piss on the side of this building, then go inside and give everyone one of them a piece of my mind.
  16. FRONT PAGE of NCAA.com
  17. im about ready to
  18. T his is such bullshit. They should just boycott it and say if they dont put it on at least a neutral field then F off.
  19. word is only 4 students even signed up for the buses....literally so i know none of them are up here or ever were, the empty buses never even left yesterday.
  20. Well im glad we got a true critics assessment of Zekes game! Here's to you guys pulling it together and Zeke ending this season a champion before leading us to a championship next year!
  21. my highlight of the night was him running/trucking full speed at an Urbana player in the corner and screaming and flailing his arms while doing so. The Urbana player just heaved the ball out of bounds when he saw steve running at him. I mean this wasnt a decent attempt at a pass or even a shot, it was just a straight "throw it away and run away from the monster coming at me" kind of play.
  22. Perhaps that jumps out from the box score .. but from being at the game, I can tell you that Urbana didn't really go in to the paint much at all. There simply weren't a lot of opportunities to block shots. The defensive effort last night was pretty solid, IMO.Thats the only way to interpret the blocked shot stat... Id like to see just how many (or how few based on what zip watcher said) shots Urbana attempted within the paint versus our 0 blocked shots. Sounds like it was a nailbiter anywaysThere was most certainly a blocked shot. I took a great string of pictures (about 8) of Bardo getting a good piece of a floater in the lane. I don't have my cameras memory card here at work though, guess ill upload it later
  23. With our speed and style of play, it should help us. You never know though, i guess a weird bounce that we are not used to could skip by into our goal today because of it as well.
  24. yeah ill be there along with at least 30 of us, guarantee that.Oh yeah and just heard a rumor that it's at 1pm...i hope that's not true
  25. AMEN...the football team is the only one that seems to be lagging behind the whole concept and direction this school and it's athletics are heading. Let's find a way to set it straight. (dont get me started on the baseball team though)
