  1. hey it was so good they stole it from Zipsnation....should be flattering to whoever came up with it.
  2. i was just about to post a few of my pictures but i see you took some great ones as well....(the low quality ones were from my phone, i put the camera in the car at halftime since i figured there would be a field rush and dogpile at the end. I guessed right.) the team brought the trophy over to the Rowdies after receiving it. the 4th flop out of 16 today
  3. considering this is the first ive heard of it, they probably wont.
  4. you bring weak shots like that into the JAR next year and those are the kind of blocks you are going to see repeatedly.
  5. The refs were twice as bad as the football refs yesterday. The MAC is desperate to get two teams in the NCAA tourney. Just wait until Sunday; it could be ten times worse. That game was amazing. Sunday will be tough but NIU is not nearly as physical as Hartwick. Also, our boys are gonna learn a lot from this close one. I'm sure the post game speech by Caleb addressed that tonight.let's get it done sunday!!!! 2pm at the JackFinally a day game for the first time in a month. Much better.

  7. Well to really put it into perspective. Here is what the University of Minnesota has in store for it's band.http://stadium.gophersports.com/multi_virtual_tours.htmltake a virtual tour of the band room to get an idea how much money these big ten schools really have. I'd say it's better than most MAC school's football practice facilities.Wow... Maybe we'll get a section close to the field... How do you compete with that? Maybe we could at least get a band shell or something. It would keep us out of the weather and would make us sound three times as big as we do now. What do you think?keep you out of the weather? That's not what i like to hear from my band. Also, sound three times bigger?! If you sounded three times bigger I would at least be able to hear the band at halftime over the normal talk of fans. I think the biggest thing the band needs is funding, if you guys could get the funding that some of the other programs get, then that could make an impact and maybe weed out the weak links and the bad instruments. Maybe not having to bus you guys to our home games 5-6 times a year will save some money for that.
  8. I know many of you have never been to a soccer game. Tonight is the perfect night to come out and see what it's all about. Should be a decent crowd, lot's of Rowdies of course. But it also should be a win which is what we all need after last nights football game. So go to Barley House before the game, get fueled up, and come on down at 7:30 for the game. You won't be disappointed.
  9. I still think more people were there than 18,516. At times it sure seemed like it at least. One thing im truly disappointed in is the fact that nearly every student left after the game and did not stay for the postgame ceremonies. A few of the ones who did were fairly disrespectful as well I could mention another group that did not seem to disciplined or respectful to the ceremony as well, but i dont want to come off as only negative towards the whole night. It truly was one of the best times ive ever had at the Rubber Bowl.
  10. That's some fine geography work there, Lou.as compared to your fellow zips fans it's downright scholarlybut I'm not here to troll, good luck tomorrowdont forget your passport on your way to Akron across that border eh?
  11. Is that the quality of geographic knowledge at Akron?Buffalo's in Canada? BUFFALO'S IN CANADA!!!
  12. Make sure you don't forget your passport...
  13. 11/4 ATTENDANCE: 16,058 (Competing with election night)Thanks for answering. Am I correct that it was the Bulls' first game on national TV? I heard that somewhere, but I don't know if it was true.well if their first game on tv only drew 16,000 that's pretty lame.
  14. oh god, let's not get started on the bus situation. Last week they somehow thought that it would be appropriate to use 4 buses to take students to the game and only 2 to bring students home. Many were left for almost an hour after the game. However the bus issue should not be a problem this game. Apparently it has been addressed. That was horrible. It was like a stampede of bulls trying to squeeze into a small charter bus door.I hope it was adressed, ha.Well our rumor has hopefully counteracted and maybe even gained new fans from what were lost because of last week's fiasco. If anyone is up for a game of NCAA 09 or College Hoops on XBOX feel free to stop by Brookhartville tonight, packing up as we speak!
  15. We make these threads hoping some away fans will join in the fun, smack talk can only go so far when the other side isn't helping out. What do we have to do with anything? Well we're tied with you for the lead in the East and beat you handily at home last year so.... you answer that one. Seriously though, come on over and join in the smack talking What's wrong with being confident, I don't think there is a team in the MAC aside from Ball State that is above UB talent wise, sure we have lost to CMU and WMU but we easily could have won both, we've been in the basement for so long when we see talent we're going to enjoy it and talk about it. We use SMF, our admin doesn't have a ton of time on his hands to make it pretty but it's functional and that's really all you need from a forum, if I had to choose of course I would go with IPB but in my opinion there's really nothing wrong with SMF or other open source BB projects, check back in the future, as I become more involved with the site you should see some things look "fancier" and I'll try to make it cater to your personal tastesAgain, come over, join in the smack thread or start your own, I look forward to us beating the Zips handily on Thursday.GO BULLSand good luck to your team, let's hope we both make it out injury freeyou are my kind of fan...if you were coming to the game id tell you id give you a beer. Either way you are wrong, the Zips will not be beaten handily. I guess you will be surprised.
  16. i might have to pick some of that up to go along with my groups tradition:the 25 foot four person beer bong that fits 22-23 beers in it.
  17. ON ITand DONEHell it may be true, but either way let's get some students to get off their asses and come to a game for once.Probably the greatest prank ever, even if you weren't sure it was a prank at the time... especially since the total number of confirmed guests is closing in on 1,000 as we speak. You even caught the attention of the higher ups. Ever think of working for the marketing department?I actually have yes. It's disgusting to me the lack of support this school has for it's athletic teams. You can use every excuse in the book to not come to the Rubber Bowl for the last 68 years but on the last night i don't care if you have to hitchhike or walk, you NEED to be there. It's embarrassing to think that this place is not going to be sold out. Most likely if it weren't for that rumor no more than a few thousand students would have showed up. Maybe somehow that rumor spreading like wildfire will get people to notice that there is a HUGE game going on tomorrow night. I'm actually leaving for the game in a few hours, I'll have internet, maybe ill post some updates on the tailgating situation as the final 24 hours tick down. But let me tell you, when that ball is kicked off tomorrow night, i dont care if there is 10,000 people or 35,000 i'm going to be extra loud and extra crazy for this huge game. I hope all of you join me. AND REMEMBER TO BRING A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TOMORROW.
  18. Man is their board crappy or what? I think i could have made something like that after a week of web design in highschool. How uninspired, similar to their canadian fans and their lack of support. It really makes you appreciate how nice we have it here at ZIPSnation.org...thanks guys!
  19. so any fellow rowdies wanna join in on my official founding of "Brookhartville"?unlike Paternoville we at least can have beer, grills, electricity, and fire.
  20. well it seems that the party is going down at your tailgate...what's star crunch?
  21. well let's get more people pissed and keep spreading the word. If you are on facebook, add the event and invite everyone you know. Let's send the RB out loud and in style.
  22. well i guess it's good i planned on camping out tonight for tomorrows game...guess i will be able to take in this contest as well.
  23. Are you camping? If you do, make sure you post at least one photo of that! Brookhartville?yep im camping, i also have a big party tent thats 20' X 10' that has 4 sides that zip up so i will have electric heaters keeping that warm. I may even bring a tv and my xbox...high class camping
  24. over 700 and 1800+ awaiting now. Looks like im doing a better job getting people to the game than the marketing department, and im a HISTORY major!
