While i agree that many students stay away from the student section because of some Rowdies...i think that rebranding is pointless. The only option is WINNING. Win and people will care. Stop choking in big games, get some decent assistant coaches that know what the hell they're doing, and FREAKING WIN.

Don't know about rose colored, but they definitely have a few AWFUL orange colored lights that just look terrible. Btw, you say you played it back on a different TV...don't tell me you used VHS

Great points...but Cameron and the JAR are two different animals in terms of aesthetics. The JAR is far dumpier...in so many ways.

Lets all take a step back here and remember that this is only speculation. I always trust Hilltopper on these things, and he may be mostly right with this info, but lets not assume that this is a 100% done deal by any means. Heck, they may just want us to think this to rile us up so a still undersized 5,000 seat arena seems like a good thing Either way, it's not like they've announced anything yet, and I really do find it hard to believe that they could be THAT stupid.

That's the biggest problem he has (besides his positioning offensively). The officials are out of control most nights with their ticky-tacky calls. I can't explain it.

HUGE win for Akron Hockey today as they took down #13 Pitt (one of their biggest rivals) 4-1, behind two goals each from Jeremy Hein and Frank Sterle. The #15 Zips head to Youngstown State tomorrow for another, and a win there would likely cement a big rise in the upcoming poll.

I'd like to see LeBron donate some money to the U before we start slobbering over him. Still, this isn't a big deal really...I could care less. And at least it's not a bobblehead of that crook mayor instead (like the Aeros had).

You could specify whether or not you mean seniors in terms of eligibility or seniors in terms of school...because those are two VERY different things. There are ZERO seniors left from the last two years, as ACHA rules would not allow them to play when they are graduated and/or not eligible. I think that's a fairly easy assumption to make, without any need for my answer. Maybe i'm misreading you, but are you ripping on the team in some way? If so, i have no clue what you're getting at. And sorry if am misreading your intentions, as the question really doesn't make sense to me.

The Zips Hockey team had a charity sled hockey game with the Mighty Barons (disabled kids) on Friday night. They followed that up with their first ever alumni game. The night was a huge success...and Zippy even got in on the action:

I like Deji. He fills a good role defensively. He's long, gets good position on his man, and isn't afraid to box his man out. We need more play like that.
