So we struggle to keep students engaged and coming back to the JAR, so our plan to fix that is to make it even harder for them to get in? I wonder how many will have no clue about this ticket distribution mess and show up at the JAR only to find no way to get in. I'm sure that'll win 'em over.
Oh yeah, UA's excuse is to gauge how many tickets they'll be able to sell to the public. Why not just set aside 1,000 tickets, then after selling the rest to fill capacity, LET MORE FREAKING STUDENTS IN. That place held 7,000 in the 80's, it can hold near that now. I'm sure the GA public wouldn't like people crawling all over eachother, packed in, but the students wouldn't care and it would create an insane atmosphere. Now that we have that "Section 8" student section, there's no reason to not pack it til people are spilling into the aisles.
Now maybe i'm getting ahead of myself, and there is no way that over 1,000 students will be there, but if for some reason they keep showing up trying to get in, LET THEM IN!
