Koroma is still feeling under the weather. Yeah, he's been pretty sick. Brenes I'm not sure about. EDIT: Brenes is doing better and should be able to practice tomorrow or Friday in preparation for the game. It's by no means 100%, but his chances for playing Sunday look very good.

I agree with you mostly, but at the same time, the University has done a terrible job of promoting the team so it's not 100% on the Rowdies. Lets also not forget that only about 30% of the people on that hill are even Rowdies members.

No way Akron draws as many viewers on TV as the UNC's, Maryland's, and Notre Dame's. There's your real reason.

Absolutely killer performance today in the second half by the Zips. LOVED how the Rowdies stepped it up tonight with the heckling too. Now for the real second season.

Don't get me wrong, you're probably right on us finding a better coach (i mean who wants to come here?), but what exactly has KD done to "earn" your patience? He hasn't really won anything. Btw, MAC Tournament Championships are fine and dandy, but really, who outside of Akron gives a crap?

Don't know if anyone noticed, but Dalton eclipsed several program records last week during the Can't game. He's now the program leader for passing touchdowns in a season, completions in a season, completions for a senior, passing yards for a senior, and he's on pace to obliterate the completions per game record. Not too bad. More stats

I can assure you that their involvement in the "Q Incident" was trivial to all sides. I highly doubt that it's the case. However, speaking of that incident and what ZachtheZip posted, he's definitely on to something. Someone or some people are doing their darnedest to wreak havoc.

I don't think I've ever seen consistent good moves by athletics in marketing the teams at Akron. They're always behind the times or missing the point on things. It's very frustrating. There's absolutely no reason why the soccer team and basketball team shouldn't average 5,000 fans. No doubt there are many factors, but University shoots itself in the foot routinely.

One of the Rowdies did a good job late last season in passing out those bands to random students that were sitting up top, but the whole wristband idea definitely turns some away. Also, many don't even know about the system.

Exactly. If we allowed an atmosphere like that to develop, people would be THROWING money at the University to get the lower level seats and/or fund a new arena. The U can only blame the JAR so much. At some point they gotta stop thinking small and start figuring these easy things out.

It is stupid. The North side being the band is about as stupid as the south side having them. The band should be up top in the band section. Really though, the fact that the lower level west or east side doesn't have a student section is just plain stupidity. Do they not want students to attend? Do they not want the atmosphere to snowball into an electric nuthouse?! Money is understandable, but when there are PLENTY of open blue seats, there's no reason not to move a few people over. I don't care if they've been in their seats for years, give them a box or two of those leftover Zippy bobbleheads and get on with it.
