  1. The game on Wednesday starts at 6. Can't game starts at 5. Why? 🙄
  2. You can buy $10 parking passes on SeatGeek, which of course cost $16+ with fees. Seems to me a few years ago cost went from $10 to $20 even early in the week, so I'm not sure what they are now at the gate.
  3. Not surprising they're having trouble with the audio, they apparently still haven't found anyone to operate a spotlight so the players aren't running out in the dark during introductions. 🙄
  4. I found the Iowa post game senior ceremony on YouTube. It is a nice touch and allows the players to speak. I feel bad for former CMU player Molly Davis. I hope her knee injury today is not as bad as it looks.
  5. A final play likely to make Sportscenter.
  6. Apparently they couldn't sell any commercial time on the stream today. 🤔
  7. I am not there today, but I doubt having a women's game start 3 hours before the men's was going to do much for either's attendance. I did notice today that Can't is hosting a doubleheader today, also. Their starting times were 1 and 3:30. Those times make a lot more sense to me. You can have a little early lunch, stay for both games with less time in between and not run through the dinner hour and not get out of the JAR until after 8.
  8. The final three games should be telling. At home against NIU and Ohio, at CMU. All should be "winnable" games if they play well.
  9. So much for that hope. This game was going to be a real challenge from the start, especially after Ball State got creamed at Toledo. Not surprising.
  10. From what I see, UMASS hasn't been very good in basketball in almost 10 years. And epically bad in football. If you want to build a conference from the bottom up, this is the way.
  11. RIZZO works too, but the tickets don't seem to be quite as discounted as I remember. Haven't tried the other yet.
  12. Toledo crushes Ball State 70-48 at Savage. Look out Wednesday in Muncie, Zips. 😳
  13. Zips lose 73-51. Tied with loss to Toledo for biggest loss of the season.
  14. From Facebook post: "In an effort to accommodate working families and in consideration with our student-athletes and coaches, we all agreed on a weekend Senior Night celebration would be most appropriate‼️ #GoZips🦘"
  15. I was likely going to get tickets for the EMU game assuming it was senior night. I do wonder if the reason for the change might be that it is easier for the players' families to be there on the weekend. Overall attendance is probably better on a Saturday, too?
  16. Terrible coaching strategy in the last minute. Down two possessions with 36 seconds left, they let the clock run down to 18 seconds without fouling and then after a BG time out don't foul again for 9 seconds. Game over. I left. WTF!? 😡
  17. The Orange wins at Virginia today 85-79, led by Fair with 33 and Wooley with 24. Glad they weren't playing for Buffalo yesterday.
  18. It figures. I stayed home so I could stream both men's and women's games. Now the men need to step it up in the second half.
  19. With the women preparing to play Buffalo tomorrow, it made me curious to check in again and see how their previous coach Felicia Legette-Jack is doing at Syracuse. The Orange are ranked #19 and 2nd in the ACC, led by former Buffalo players Dyasha Fair and Georgia Wooley. I always liked her sideline demeanor and success on the court.
  20. Both Zips men and women went 5 for 29 from 3 pt range today.
  21. Got it. Found it through phone app. Now it is on Firestick. Wasn't there before.
  22. Another disappointing performance and loss at home. Not sure what the deal was with Bass today. The team is not getting better, in fact they seem to be regressing. Woods played well and brought a lot of energy. Mobley pulled down 17 rebounds, 10 offensive. I think a number of those were off her own missed shots, but credit for sticking with it. Today's giveaway was a nice pink and grey jersey to the first "250" fans. I have to question that a bit. Despite an announced attendance of 800+, there couldn't have been more than 300 people there and they ran out 15 minutes before the game started. I counted the fans on the bench side of the court and there were not more than 100. There sure weren't 700 on my side. I counted maybe up to 100 people including dance team and cheerleaders wearing the jerseys. I wonder what happened to the other 100-150, although I did see a few carrying theirs out still in the bag.
