  1. I've gotten by for years with mostly $15-18 caps and $20-25 long sleeve t-shirts from Walmart or the old Campus Book Supply store on Exchange that are still holding up. Walmart has almost nothing anymore and the book store on Exchange is no longer the same business. I'm curious about what ended up at the Salvation Army. I agree the idea is to get the merchandise out there in as many places you can at different price points. We need exposure.
  2. Kind of strange to raise tickets prices during the season, but it might be that variable ticket pricing like a lot of professional teams do these days. Now we're in the thick of the MAC schedule and the holidays are over ticket prices are raised. My 6 game mini plan tickets were only $25 each, so I'm saving even more money now. 😉
  3. Looking back at their schedule, their losses have been respectable (within 10 or less) except for three blowouts. One to Michigan State and one to Cleveland State. Maybe that's their stage of development now. Respectable losses. I think the Zips let down a little after the Ball State game, though.
  4. Zips women beat CMU (1-11) 70-62 in a win that was harder than it should have been. I guess a win is a win.
  5. From what I see basketball parking for PCCC games is free or $3 depending on day of week and location and at YSU it's free. Enough said. I have no problem with a $5 fee. $10 is ridiculous. Not to mention $4 for a bottle of water and $6 for a 32 oz. pop. (How about $3 for a 16 oz drink?)
  6. I stand by my observation. 🙂 It was right in front of me. Groce was at the other end of the court and Tribble's back was to him when he spoke at the ref. I'm sure there was plenty of prior trash talk to bring on the T.
  7. I stand by my observation. 🙂 It was right in front of me. Tribble turned and looked directly at the ref and said something, as he turned around to run up court the ref T'd him up. No one was nearby. I guess the ref could have been between him and the bench. Prior trash talk may have contributed to the call.
  8. It looked to me that Tribble got the T for turning and saying something something to the ref after he made a nice block and it wasn't called a foul like his 4th. Never a good idea to poke that bear.
  9. Traveling 🙄
  10. I think Haney's been pretty disappointing so far. She's only shooting about 31% from the field. Not good for a scorer. I've been hoping she'll find her shot, but it hasn't happened yet. She had some bad misses tonight and never got in the game after a bad miss on a breakaway layup in the 4Q. I hope she comes around soon. They really needed another scorer tonight.
  11. It comes and goes for me. I'm never sure whether it's the stream or my old router.
  12. Is it really necessary to turn on that rhythm ace machine during every stoppage in play? Annoying as hell.
  13. Looks like game IS on ESPN+, ICYMI. Pretty sure it said no stream earlier.
  14. Did it really? 🤔
  15. I didn't need to see that. 😳
  16. 3 of BUGS last 4 games were at Iowa, home to S. Carolina and at Indiana. Yikes.
  17. BUGS women at #16 Indiana tonight, getting absolutely crushed 77-31 in 4Q.
  18. Heck of a way to build goodwill and attendance. For football I refuse to pay $10 to park in a deck that is as far away as the Olin Hall lot. I'm sure the extra $500(?) a game they get for basketball will significantly impact the program. What do you suppose they're paying the third party?
  19. I've done the doubleheader thing a few times. Fun, but it does make for a long day/ evening. It would be even more appealing if they had better food at the JAR since they usually run through the dinner hour.
  20. The tv scoreboard operator froze at the end. 😄
  21. Especially when threatened with legal action. 😉
  22. It's what we should have in downtown Akron.
  23. Mobley was listed as a starter on FB, but didn't appear to even be on the sideline.
  24. I noticed that, too. Seems dumb. Another strategy to force you to go to the bookstore in the Student Center. Yeah, that's convenient. Especially since the store next to the stadium isn't open most days. I'm also not keen on spending $30 for a hat. My $15-20 Walmart hats have held up fine over the years. Nothing with the new A yet. I'd like a gold hat with a blue A and Zips on it somewhere. Too many people outside the immediate fan base won't even know what it is.
