  1. Nice to see the officials brought their microscopes tonight.
  2. The old man in my head just said "you guys are 20 years old. Wake the hell up."
  3. Trimble with one solid 3, not rushed, moving towards the hoop, a make. One rushed, falling away, no good. There's a lesson there.
  4. A regular reliable poster on here.
  5. Two starters, including Farakhan, out for EMU.
  6. I remember those huge EMU front lines 3 or 4 years ago with Thompson, Groce and Boubacar, all 6'9" or bigger. They were ineffective but they were big!
  7. I think the Trimble situation and the WMU situation were very similar. Three really hot shooters who also got a little help from the defense. Groce and the BG assistant both hit on it. BG opted to go under on picks rather than fight through or switch and it killed them at times. I think we'd have also seen a lot more defensive pressure, especially full court and that half court trap, if the roster numbers would have panned out. For now, I'll give Clarke an injury pass. Walton and Wynn let this team down.
  8. Agreed. When I was able to attend, through most of December, I was often the ONLY person in my end section above the Zips bench. Unfortunately, due to a health issue with one of my immediate family members, I can't risk bringing anything home.
  9. Gotcha! That makes sense. I guess everyone should know by now to just contact me if they want them! By the way, I have 2 tickets tomorrow if anyone wants them shoot me a PM. LOL.
  10. Could someone explain to me what's amusing about my offer for the free tickets? 😕
  11. I am certain I loudly exclaimed what Ralphie in Christmas Story referred to as "THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!" Fortunately, I was home alone.
  12. I have two tickets for anyone who wants them. Shoot me a PM.
  13. I was losing my mind on those. On the one, the guy just waltzed around Ali and got the board.
  14. Good call. There were some odd bounces and unfortunate switches (e.g. Castaneda to Plowden) but there was some poor blocking out.
  15. Yikes, that's brutal. I thought we were tough during the PCCC and WMU games, but that's on another level. My favorite line from that thread- "I have been watching this team since 1976. In all that time, the only truly good coach we have hired was also a drunk and a sexual predator who we let go after 1 season." LMAO.
  16. I like the Zips chances if they can continue to post those stats!
  17. I think when they finally put Ford on the online roster his bio should read "was a team manager who worked his way on to the team." That's a hell of a lot more impressive than any accolades and honors they could post.
  18. I don't think he ever would have. He, for some reason, was just not a good fit.
  19. Dylan Swingle- https://www.sent-trib.com/sports/bgsu-s-swingle-leaving-men-s-basketball-program/article_404cd44e-2a97-11ec-9864-e7aaa39c30ae.html
  20. Good for the Ford kid. By a little hard work and effort he is now contributing more than a player who was an ACC recruit. The kid was 2 time Ashtabula County Player of the Year.
  21. The Zips host Stan Heath and his 7-9 Ypsilanti Eagles Saturday night at the JAR. EMU is 2-3 in the MAC having beaten Western and Central and losing to Ball State, NIU and PCCC. They were predicted to finish 11th in the MAC, placing no one on the All-MAC teams. They are eighth in the MAC in points per game and points surrendered. Noah Farakhan leads the Eagles at 16.2 ppg. I trust that no one will miss Rob Murphy and that 2-3 zone.
  22. Evan Wilson! With an assist! And a basket by Ford? He's not even on the online roster.
  23. I certainly did not see this coming after the PCCC and WMU performances.
  24. I'm glad someone has figured out this team! I like the Zips chances if they can keep making 50% of their threes.
  25. The announcers are so perplexed they're comparing the hair of Freeman and Reese. They've also educated me that being 7 feet tall is helpful down low. Hmm, who'd have thunk it.
