I think alcohol is more of a necessity at Infocision.

I like Ali's developing game but at the same time I would prefer that he avoid the crazy all over the floor dribbling display a couple of possessions before he hit the 3. That possession and the possession where Freeman got stuck with the ball were painful at an important point in the game.

I am with RowdyZip in that I am hoping that this game gives us an opportunity to see some of the guys towards the end of the bench.

Good call on Trimble. The entire team has a defensive intensity we haven't seen before. We've had individual strong defenders like Banks and Tribble but this team is far more solid from a team defense perspective and its fun to see. The depth will also help keep that intensity up through an entire game. We can expect to see a lot more full court pressure and trapping in the half court.

Well, maybe Pluto was correct in saying that a football program needs a general. Unfortunately, he failed to acknowledge Akron had hired a McClellan, Westmoreland or a Custer. By the way, I don't "hate" Pluto. He has written some of my favorite sports books. I'm not though always a fan of his on some NEO sports issues.

The home season opens Saturday with Point Park University coming into the JAR. Point Park plays in the River States Conference and were picked in the conference coaches poll to finish 7th out of 14 teams in the conference. Point Park was 8-9 last year. They return 2 starters, 6-1 senior guard Sherrron Schifino who scored 14.5 ppg and 5-10 senior guard Jesse Calloway who scored 9.6 ppg. Schifino was named to the All-RSC Second Team in 2020-21.
