  1. Interesting note from the Pluto article- "Senderoff has more victories (180) than any coach in Kent history." Mr. Pinky is not PCCC's version of Larry Kehres. He is PCCC's version of Crash Davis. He's Steve Hawkins West.
  2. Nice story about what Duquesne has been through this year with the construction of their new arena- https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/joe-starkey/2020/03/06/duquesne-basketball-coach-keith-dambrot-lebron-james-joe-starkey/stories/202003060074
  3. I am interested to see if Roberts is healed.
  4. I think that the Flushes are going to follow OU's lead and go after LCJ. I think the opposition's attack going forward is going to be to make LCJ expend as much energy as possible on the defensive end and physically D him up on the offensive end. If he's left on a bigger player who is a scorer, he's going to get posted up a lot. Hopefully, they'll be able to switch to Banks in those situations or their rotations when they come to help will be good.
  5. A tight well played game by both teams with a close win is always fun, but I am really hoping the Zips put Ravenna out of their misery early and then step on their necks.
  6. Yep. OU it is. Toledo's big 3 can do more harm to you than Preston and Vander Plas.
  7. I would offer to also give up YOUR right nut. GT has been passionate about anything since Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
  8. That's all well and good, but at the end of the day it's a state university with an already strapped budget. As such, they can't afford him if he's that successful. Also, a great majority of people will take a job with what is viewed as a more prestigious company at a much higher rate of pay. I wouldn't expect Groce, as much as I like him, to do anything different. There are the Larry Kehreses of the world that have found the life they want and are content with remaining in a place regardless of other opportunities placed in front of them, but they are pretty damned rare. Maybe the OU-->Illinois experience will help to give Groce that perspective, but it's unlikely given simple human nature and UA's budget restraints. P.S. I'd be surprised if he went anywhere after this year.
  9. I have an idea but rather than staring a dumpster fire on ZipsNation I will keep it to myself!
  10. From your mouth to God's ears AkronAlumnus.
  11. It doesn't help when the architects of such surges inevitably get plucked by a bigger program. You either have to find a guy like Few who will stick with it in the long haul or guess right again and again (e.g. Butler).
  12. Then the trick becomes capitalizing on it and keeping it rolling. For every Gonzaga and Wichita State there are two George Mason, Coppin State or Norfolk States.
  13. Groce mentioned last night how he got a supersoaker to make sure he was ready for these occasions. LOL. Dunn mentioned on the post-game that the kids on the team seemed to enjoy Groce cutting down the nets more than anyone. I think that says something.
  14. I heard they were hurt.
  15. Agreed. I like the noon game for the extra hours of rest. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a crowd. From a selfish perspective, as I mentioned it last night, I want a one seed as it says they won the conference and I want the opportunity to ram that up the ******* of the early Groce doubters who p!$$ed and moaned on here like selfish little girls.
  16. This is going to be a wild ride in the MAC Tournament. I can make an argument for any of the top 9 going on a run and winning it. Certainly, some arguments are stronger than others, but it is wide open.
  17. Tribble is incredibly athletic. He can jump out of the gym. He really needs to focus on finishing and the rim and shooting. Too often, he gets to the rim but tries to utilize his hang time instead of a simple finish. His shot, both from the outside and at the foul line, really needs work. You can see now that defenders sag from him at the 3 point line as they don't see him as a threat. He made one last night and had one other brutal attempt that touched nothing. Speaking of guards, that Preston kid is a real player. He can sure get to the rim.
  18. I could see a team from a better conference talking to him, but I don't see a P5 taking him away, at least yet. You have an awful lot of faith in Ravenna.
  19. Just how fantastic was that Tribble dunk?
  20. PCCC Friday night at 6:30 at the JAR. Senior night. ENOUGH SAID.
  21. Wow, one of the most exciting JAR games in a long while. Fantastic defense by the Zips in the second half. First half D was sketchy, but they cranked it up in the second half. OU scored 50 in the first half and 17 in the second. OU went after LCJ tonight. I think we'll see a lot of that from here on in. Great halftime adjustments by Groce and staff.
