  1. Nobody really, but X and Reece seem to be the real deal. Cheese is leading scorer.
  2. My kingdom for a mid-range jumper.
  3. No Sayles in first half.
  4. Zips 39-30 at half. Roscoe was last sub in. So far played 10 players. LCJ, Banks, Reece, Ali, X, Cheese, Roscoe, Riak and Tribble. Poor rebounding technique so far. Only up 19-17 in boards.
  5. 29-22 Zips. 3:55 left in half.
  6. 16-12 Malone, 11:30 left in half.
  7. Pushing the ball but a little sloppy so far. 7-6 Malone with 15:55 left.
  8. Cheese for Ali. Tribble for lcj.
  9. Odd starting 5- Reece, LCJ, Banks, X and Ali.
  10. Here waaaaayyyyy too early. No Scott Walter in uniform.
  11. I always enjoy this game. It's our season preview. It doesn't have pole dancers and Snoop Dog like Kansas, but it's still a nice warmup.
  12. So, just to clarify, old Terry fell short of Solich in two areas.
  13. Can't believe the season is here. Go Zips.
  14. For the life of me, I don't understand why this has to be Bowden OR Arth. One could have thought it was time for Bowden to move on AND be unhappy with how things have gone so far with Arth. Thank God basketball season is here so that we can switch over to yearning for the golden days of KD.
  15. Do you really think things were going well with Bowden? I get the Arth criticism, but damn, they couldn't even get lined up for a kickoff correctly. I could understand a "things were better with Bowden" response, but to say things weren't going badly is revisionist history.
  16. "It takes a village" to build a team this bad. It's not just one factor. The team started to crumble under Bowden and he failed to recruit adequately; the search by the AD was poorly done; the administration has not made the program a priority; the new staff was not prepared for the difficult transition; and the community shows little or no support. At the end of the day, those factors have combined for failure. Miserable failure. To this point, it does not appear the staff had been up to the task, but much more has gone into this abomination than just the perceived shortcomings of the current staff. Marshal through. Fight to keep the best kids here. Recruit well. Bolster the staff. Move on from here.
  17. The Zips must look great in practice. Just look at who they're playing against. ? At this juncture, if the best players aren't on the field, the staff has failed to recognize the urgency of the situation.
  18. One bright spot/something positive....................................................basketball starts Tuesday.
  19. They faced a guy today who should have been high on their list but he was hired a full two weeks before Arth. The radio broadcast mentioned that he lost 15 players to transfer making it tough to fill out his team. He's apparently ahead of the Zips pace.
  20. I thought that much of Zips Nation was overly optimistic in the preseason with their estimates of wins. My thought was that they could win as few as two and as many as four. Even my pessimism could not match this ugliness. They're not firing Arth. As such, the keys in the off-season need to be: 1) work their @$$e$ off in recruiting, including jucos; 2) upgrade the staff. All of these connections Arth purportedly has better pay off in the off-season. They need kids that can play NOW.
  21. You're a month behind. 11 TD's in September. None in October. Time change is tonight.
  22. Fearless Forecast: Zips attempt their first fake kick/punt of the season and botch it into a turnover. Sorry Captain, I couldn't resist.
