  1. He went down like he had been shot.
  2. The Zips' Canadian nemesis comes into the JAR Tuesday night. The Bulls are 19-3 overall and 7-2 in the MAC going into Saturday's game versus CMU. 12th year senior CJ Massinburg leads the Canucks with 18.4 ppg while Nick Perkins leads rebounding at 7.6 rpg.
  3. The only sign of chippiness I saw was very early in the game when a PCCC player went to the hole and Cheese got called for a block. The kid popped up, stood over Cheese and said something to him, which provoked a response from Cheese. Nothing major. Nice to see a clean game. I suspected we might see something after Utomi stepped in under the KSU kid on the 3 pointer, but nothing happened.
  4. There's also a team calculation that involves a formula utilizing field goals attempted, offensive rebounds, turnovers and the total number of possessions.
  5. Groce said in the postgame that the players' primary interest after the game was their defensive efficiency stat. I think that pretty well sums up this team's focus.
  6. Walker goes 4 for 19 for for 10 points while Avery goes the entire game without an assist. Just what the Zips had to do on D. Nice job by Jimond on Walker. Let's hope Mr. Pinky gets a lifetime contract with PCCC. He's playing 4 guards and a mobile smaller center and he's running much of the same $h!+ he ran with guys like Jimmy Hall and DeLaRosa instead of pushing the ball.
  7. That was a good old fashioned Bruce Bowen like step in under the shooter. Unintentional, but...ouch.
  8. We avoid contact in rebounding like the opponents have Ebola.
  9. Nice start to the second half.
  10. If our bigs had any offense we could really take advantage as they are short on quality bigs.
  11. The Zips do waaaaaaaaaay to much damn dribbling while 4 guys watch.
  12. They are trapping on the pick and roll every time. Zips guards and Riak need to take advantage.
  13. Singletary, Jimmy Hall, Adonis DeLaRosa ... Who will take the role of the Flush I hate most this year?
  14. Ugh. Looks like it LZip.
  15. Jayden done for the year with a broken wrist
  16. Hmmmm, good point.
  17. I think I'd save the give aways for games you need a reason to draw people for rather than the only game for which you get a decent draw. I'd also think you'd prefer your fans to not have things to throw at Mr. Pinky.
  18. Light sticks and t-shirts tonight.
  19. This may be the least active Zips/PCCC thread ever.
  20. No more late night posting for you.
  21. The Flushes are all about the guards. Walker averages over 23, leading the MAC in scoring while Avery competently runs to the point. Beating them is all about slowing those two down.
  22. Good start from a staff that got a late start.
  23. Looking at the MAC stats today. The Zips top rebounder (Ivey) is 15th in the MAC. Top scorer (Utomi) is 19th.
  24. Mr. Pinky is the winningest coach in PCCC history. Translation- he's been too mediocre to ever move onward and upward. It's like being the all-time leader in minor league home runs (Crash Davis by the way).
