    I am down for them playing as many games as possible. I'm just not big on the finances of those types of tournaments where teams essentially buy home games, etc.

    Agreed that the coaching has not been as good in football as in basketball, but Glen Mason, Pees, Martin and Hazell were pretty solid in their time there. On the topic of their coaching hires, here's hoping Mr. Pinky outlasts every coach in PCCC history!

    As much as it pains me to say it, Laing Kennedy made some pretty good coaching hires in his time at PCCC.

    Good points. I do, however, think that Marshall is by far better than any other team we've seen at the JAR this year. I think they'd be in the top half of the MAC.

    Yep, Toledo thumped the Detroit Mercy team that was competitive at the JAR by a whopping 44 points!

    The Herd lost by 1 in overtime at previously 8-1 Toledo Saturday night and beat 3-5 Morehead State by 12 tonight (Monday). Just the name Morehead State takes me back to the OVC. I'm thinking the Zips will have their hands full with Marshall.

    That's when there's not poker. It seems the NCAA would be smarter than to throw it up against the NFL game of the week too. Yesterday would have been ideal with major college football on a break.

    Let me say first that I am not a big soccer fan. Even from that perspective, the NCAA men's soccer final deserves better than ESPNU. Instead, on ESPN and ESPN2, we get something called "Bowl Mania" and a repeat of last night's boxing card. Awful. The men's lacrosse final gets more attention.
